Priceless...

The one about never being so confident still cracks me up.

Wow just wow. Those comments are quite frankly rediculous. I mean fuckin rediculously deluded opinions.

Can't wait for the pre match view tomorrow for a contrast :D:D:D

Wow, they are so bitter and angry.

Feel sorry for the guy at the bottom trying to raise funds, not many would get that far or feel that benevolent if they did.

Just wow

This was by some distance my favourite “Pre match View from” ever, even before the game I shook my head at the ignorance of some of the posters about our side and style of play.

I wasn’t predicting we would win, I thought it would be a very close game and they would have a shock by how good some of our players were and how we played even if we lost.

To say I enjoyed that would be an understatement.......

All those local clubs wanting to land a punch on Wednesday as the highlight of their season? Turns out a stiff breeze has blown them over this year. Maybe make sure your own house is in order before you try talking shit about everyone else?

What surprises me is how these people never learn and repeatedly manage to make themselves look like a complete bunch of arseholes..

That's because they are a complete bunch of arseholes

You know the old saying................................you can't polish a turd!

So looking forward to seeing what these deluded cunts think now,,,

I said to a couple of pigs I know that win lose or draw, you will know you have played us because we are a half decent side.

After their sniggers, I repeated it, to yet more sniggers

The rest is history as they say

Apologies if this is in the wrong thread and feel free to move if needed.

Reading at the very end of the Wendy post was a separate paragraph comment about the tragic loss of a Sheffield Wednesday fan named Stephen Snell who sadly lost his life at the age of 36 to cystic fibrosis.

Well, I remember a month back now a young lady accompanied by her mother who called into my shop and asked if we did some type of vinyl window sticker memorial to place on a memorial window at the Northern General.

After discussing what was needed including design & fitting etc she asked me what would the cost be. Nothing I replied. I can’t charge for that but would be happy to do it for free.
Knowing what it meant to her and her family to see that memorial alongside all the others left me feeling somewhat humbled because I’d seen how such a small gesture made a huge impact on a normal Sheffield family suffering such a tragic early loss.

Events like this put things into perspective I suppose.

Reading back through this now, their arrogance does seem hilarious. Or at least it would do, were I not reading similar comments from our fans r.e. Friday. The pigs won't under estimate us twice, and they have a new manager at the helm.
If we do manage to do the double, it won't be easy.
If you were to offer me a draw, I'd probably take it. But fingers crossed we take all 3 and can get back to planning the Chris Wilder statue. I don't think the statue should be too elaborate, just a simple 50 foot statue, made out of solid gold, encrusted with diamonds. Like I said nothing to elaborate.

We were on our jollies in Greece on the 24/9/17 and there was a Wendy in the same apartments.
Wendy towel on sunbed, shirt on barstool, huge gob the whole shebang. He didn’t have a clue me and my mate were blades, far too wrapped up in his own world to find out. We sure as hell weren’t going out of our way to tell him.
We watched the game in a bar on the Main Street and wondered when we would see him again after game. To our utter delight he appeared about 10 mins after the final whistle, shite blue n white shirt on hand in hand with his Mrs.
We spotted him and gave him a “alright mate how you doin”. He looked over with a ‘look at me I’m a piggy everyone likes me’ but before he got chance to say owt he got “Chrissy wilders red and white army”. You maybe had to be there to appreciate it but for us it was priceless.
Looking forward to the latest view from and then the game.

I have a couple of piggy mates and they’re quite sensible in their comments, but what they both said was that they hadn’t really followed us during our Wilder revival. Fair enough.

I consider myself a football fan, I like to keep up to date on local football teams, including the Pigs and Chesterfield. I couldn’t understand why they continued with the “it’s a tough league, you’ll struggle to stay up” and “we’ll be too strong for you” in the summer when we chatted. I was continually saying how good we were and why. Plus how Wilder has brought in a playing style based on fitness, hard work and organisation, which would make us something more than the Championship whipping boys.

I said in the build up that they need to watch out on 24th Sept. Just like the pork talkers, just like the Piggy players, just like Carlos, they didn’t heed the warning. The signs were there. We’d started strongly and we were hitting the fitness levels we saw last season.

During the game things started to dawn, since the game I’ve continued to remind them that I’d told them that their own failings were clear to us Blades fans, I said that writing us off was the worst thing that they could do.

I’m looking forward to the pre match view from for this game. Reality has hit them this season. Had we not smashed them at their place and had we not been above them, I don’t think things would’ve changed at all at the Sty.

The problem is that whilst their fans seem to be getting it now (and we’ll see this in the pre match View from), their owner hasn’t got a clue how Sheffield football works.

What I found most interesting about the OP was that it underlined, to me, a perceived difference in social class between the two clubs set of fans. Owls fans have always had this chip on their shoulder and looked down on United as being inferior - but also, just look at the number of references to United fans being of a lower social class than them. They really believe that! And this is probably historical and goes back to the formation of Wednesday by wealthy city traders and the later formation of United who were seen by Wednesday as "upstarts" and encroaching in their space.

Someone on here asked the question about which is the "working man's" football club in Sheffield - and I was genuinely amazed that some Blades didn't realise it was us. Always has been, always will be, especially in the eyes of envious Wednesdayites with their superiority complex.

This was my favourite, and I chuckle every time I read it. Football fans all thinking management is easy, and how they can second guess. Each sentence in the passage below is so wrong, I love it:)

“Wilder’s not stupid. He’ll have seen how Warburton changed Forest and smothered either side of half time. He’ll also have watched how Brentford harassed and quickly fronted us up.
He’ll set up to contain us for the majority of the first half and try and nick one. They’ll be very composed and any fouls will come around the centre circle and thgem stifling the quick kick. The score will dictate how the second half starts. If it’s 0-0 or they’re winning then there’ll be no change. Most of the scum will take a draw at ours as it keeps them above us and Wilder will be the same.

If we’re in front then we’ll see a different United. One scratching, biting, nipping and doing anything to gain an advantage. I expect Sharpe to fall over his shoelaces at least twice and he might get one of those decisions.
The longer we’re winning the more desperate they’ll become and I fear Carlos tendency to defend a lead with 20-15 to go may be our undoing.”
