They keep banging on about having a team 'full of kids'. The average age of their starting XI last weekend was 25. In comparison, the average age of our starting XI last weekend was (checks notes)... 25!
To be fair, withoutpalmer their average would be 17

Of course, we only exist because they left the lane. The reality is they only played at the lane if their ground (Darnall or Hyde Park) wasn't big enough for the expected attendance, they then refused to pay the rent owing, moving to Olive Grove so they could keep all the receipts for themselves. Sounds familiar even today eh, not wanting to pay their way wanting everything for free. They were still called the Wednesday when they moved to the sty at that time outside of Sheffield. It wasn't until 1929 that Sheffield was added to their name. Always a club to spend more money than they earned, hand out's from the FA to improve the pig sty, banks writing off £ millions of debts. They have finally got what they have deserved, I hope they go on to rot in the National League.

I would rather relegate Wednesday than see us get promoted.

This is like Christmas to me.

This Derby is bigger than the Wembley semi.

I am the common consensus.

“They live to put a derby trophy in their empty cabinet. What else have they got?!”

We've got a feckin cabinet, bailiffs have tecken theirs along with golden elephants

Sorry if already posted

They have made a good point though, will it be "R Sheffield Wednesday" or "Sheffield Wednesday R"..Our flag makers need to knowl

Thanks Roy.
I gave up reading it, it was so deranged.
I've come to the conclusion that their keyboard warriors are so barking that it's pointless engaging with them (I'll exclude Zero DT because I'm feeling kind).
They are completely irrational.
I don't get it, it's a second rate football club, sort of like the one we all support, but morally bankrupt and utterly shite from top to bottom.
We need to beat and relegate them (unless the Baggies get there first).
Then they need to disappear. Completely. For eternity.

“It will be painful if we lose.
But imagine being such a loser that you celebrate wildly the defeat of a collapsed neighbour, who’s downfall you had literally no impact on.
Small club mentality. “

Woah woah woah, I would say a certain Mark Duffy would have something to say about that.

They never recovered after we pumped em 4-2 on their patch! We absolutely did affect their decline. We sucked their energy right out of them and compounded King Chansiri’s “disastrous” reign.

Roy if you wanna post the prematch view from Wednesday from that game again be my guest. It will show you clearly their perceived dominance over us. That game changed the course of the last 10 years, a proper sliding doors moment.

Oh and anyone under 30 (possibly older) only know Weds as a shit yo-yo’ing champ/league one club 🤣 a whole generation who know when they say “Wednesday are the greater club” are lying through their teeth 🤣🤣

We are allowed to celebrate beating them.

Don’t let them gaslight you into thinking it’s somehow not worth enjoying a win against them because they are bad.

The reason they’ve concocted this narrative of ‘can they even celebrate beating us?’ Is because they are trying (and failing) to come to terms with the fact that they are shit, and haven’t laid a glove on us for years.

The more they say it, the more they hope we actually start to believe that beating them is in fact akin to punching a puppy.

I’ll always celebrate beating them, I will especially celebrate if we beat them at the weekend and therefore relegate them.

Imagine being relegated at Hilsbrough - regardless of how shite the season had been until then, it’d be awful, we’d never live it down and they’d bang on about it like they do ‘the Boxing Day massacre’

So we should do the same.
Excellent.
We will.

What will the "R" at the side of Sheffield Wednesday stand for is it record breakers? 1st club to ever be relegated in February, not that the piggies will care ;)

“Why can’t fans just admit that getting relegated there will hurt like **** and not put on this silly bravado about not being bothered??
it’s just weird “

Finally, one of them actually said it
In the words of Alan Partridge ‘spastics’.

Just read all that shite...

Seems a lot of them have forgotten that we hate them, and yes it's gonna be a party when they die..

I think it goes back to at least 2005. When we beat them at the Lane with an Alan Quinn goal I remember seeing their supporters celebrating because we hadn’t battered them.

Similarly in 2009 both sets of fans were celebrating at the end of the 3-2 Blades win at the lane. Us because we’d actually won the game and them because they got a couple of goals back.
Jamie Ward was absolutely outstanding in that game, he ripped them to shreds.

Tossers
Many teams have received large deductions, even more MASSIVE than theirs and actually had a good go at it.

These cunts threw the towel in and cried about how it's every else's fault, everything is chansiri, EFL, other teams showing no shame for beating them, Elvis, aliens fault

As always they can never accept they are just fucking shit and their egos got them into this mess.

I'm sure that if roles were reversed and Wednesday had the chance to relegate us at Hillsborough, they would be just as nonplussed. I'm sure they would treat it as any other game and probably wouldn't even sell out because it just wouldn't bother them at all to relegate us.

Yes, I'm sure. In fact I'm absolutely positive about this.

The think the rest of the world looks back on their few years of being half decent in the 90’w like the Real Madrid Galacticos.

Ronaldo, Roberto Carlos, Figo, Zidane … or Carlton Palmer.

It is one thing that some of them are still clinging on to the wreckage that Sheffield Wednesday FC have become , which to some extent deserves a certain level of admiration .

It is quite another that a high percentage of them try to get round this obvious truth by trying to create an almost entirely fictitious account of their past achievements , and the respect they were held in by the rest of the footballing community in this country .

The post that best summed that mentality to me was the one from the guy who tried to demonstrate that they were a much bigger club than us (yawn) using yardsticks such as “global presence “ and having had “ legendary players in their own right “ .

The truth is that they have never had either by any stretch of the imagination and in the second category , the best was probably Chris Waddle who joined them towards the end of his career but could never be considered to be a great .

Meanwhile , their less fortunate neighbours across the city had at least three who undoubtedly truly fit that description, they being Jimmy Hagan , Joe Shaw and Tony Currie , the likes of which they have never had the honour and privilege of seeing represent their club .

Because of the deluded nonsense that he and many like him continue to pour out , I truly hope that we give them a good thrashing . On the other hand , I doubt this will make any difference to their ridiculously overblown claims as to their significance in the history of English football .

So to conclude, the game doesn’t matter but it absolutely matters and we will easily put 5 or 6 past em but who knows we might also lose?
