Bizzare set of comments.

1) They have already taken two points off us because we played a weaker side on Tuesday in anticipation of playing them.
2) Quote "Boxing day 1979 still grates on them" - conveniently forgetting the more recent 4-2 at Hillsborough.
3) "free hit as nobody outside the club and fan base expect us to get anything" excuses already!
4) “They are by far the better team, they have paid sums for players we could only dream of" - apart from Canon most of our team are frees or youth. All Transfer fees offset by sales.
5) Most bizarre ward goes to “Queen Elizabeth II was born, grew up, had 4 children, had the longest reign in British history, and had a life of 96 years and she STILL wouldn’t have seen sheffield united win a major trophy” never knew she was a fan!
She loved the blades old queenie 😉

Yeah, they've got it in their head now that we dropped Hamer and Anel for them.

Anel on his last booking that now resets and Hamer is carrying a bit of a knock.

The comments around the last 25 years I actually think has a smidgen of a point if you look at it as "moments" rather that "achievements"

Our achievements clearly surpass theirs, not least because we have:
  • Only had to get promoted from L1 once (albeit it took us 6 years) and did so as Champions vs their 3 times
  • Been promoted to the PL three times vs their 0
  • Finished 9th in the PL vs their single relegation
  • Reached 3 FAC semi finals and 2 LC finals to their 0 FAC and 1 LC semi
However, in terms of big moments I think it is a fair point that winning a PO Final - at whatever level - is one of those things none of us know what it is like. Whereas our "success" in big one off games is limited to FAC/LC QF - and things like Ipswich/WBA/Northampton which were great but by the time we were playing them we had breathing room - it wasn`t all or nothing.

Don`t get me wrong - I'll take achievement over moments every day of the week and its straw grasping of the highest order to attempt to argue otherwise.

Obviously if we lose there will be no post match so hopefully see you Sunday
Honestly the most unlikable bunch of deluded plant pots on planet earth. Deluded is an understatement.

Cheers Roy.

Here's a scenario
  1. We don't win on Sunday
  2. We fall apart a bit and end up in the Play-Offs
  3. We get to Wembley
  4. We inevitably lose that, possibly controversially (Hawkeye switched off, score a goal but one of Campbells pubes is offside in the build-up, you know the sort of shit that follows us round).
  5. We end up on the Piggy honours board as they deny us promotion.
  6. T-shirts, flags, commemorative mugs, balloons etc. are produced to celebrate their victory.
  7. Beres release a limited edition red and white striped pork sanger with the tagline 'it stays down'
  8. Songs are invented about it and are sung for years to come amongst their throng of 1.5 billion fans.
  9. Tom fucking Bailey alters the lyrics of Hold me Now to We Held them Down or summat. Or even worse that Reverend prick does summat similar with that one song they had that for some bizarre reason keeps getting airplay despite the fact it's wank.

Nail that to the dressing room wall Wilder, it's all you need.

Big omission on their list of achievements.
The 5000 ,(or was it 10,000,) they took to QPR on a Tuesday night.

"Pressure is all on them"

24 carrat, premium grade horse shit!

‘All my blades mates say it will be 4-0 or more reversal, they are all uber confident of a massive win.”

He hasn’t got any Blades mates

“If they were rested for Sunday’s game, it shows beating us is more important to the Peroni pisshead than promotion, and we’ve effectively taken 2 points off them already”

Piganomics at it’s most laughable

I don't think we had much breathing space against Ipswich. Drop points and Leeds would have been back in the driving seat. That O'Connell goal was basically like scoring in a play off final.

As for other moments, you'd be hard to find many clubs who have had a semi-final.at Wembley on the Saturday, gaining promotion on the Wednesday then having a promotion party on the Saturday all within 8 days. Sharps goal at Bournemouth, McBurnie v Man U, the VAR decision v West Ham.....the list of "moments" we have had over 20 years are far greater than what they've had.

Thanks Roy. The most eagerly awaited thread of 2025 and it doesn't disappoint. As always, I really want us to put them back in their box and give them a tonking of epic proportions but we can dream. I'd take a win whatever the score.

“They’ve had nothing like Cardiff 05, Wycombe 12, P’boro/Barnsley 23. Not many there, and they may only be promotion from league 1, but all unforgettable moments of pure drama and emotion. And as fans that’s what it’s all about. That’s where the memories come from.”

Jags. Vs Leeds. Brown’s goal, Bouncing day, Leon Clark 4 goals in a game, Basham’s arriving, Promotion to the top flight with zero money, top 9 finish in the Premier League…

I mean I could go on…

Lets not forget that this is a set of fans who put beating Arsenal reserves in the League Cup 4th round in their list of best moments of the last 25 years with no shame. If they beat us on Sunday it will immediately become a top 5 moment of their last 2 decades

What a weird bunch....

“Funny thing, and I was talking about this with a pig recently….they’ve been better than us on the pitch for the best part of 20 years (not that they’ve done much really, just that we’ve been monumentally shít), and yet we’ve still had the better “moments” as fans during that time.

Every time they go up, it’s automatic and a formality. They never seem to get the drama and occasion.
Ok the achievement of the TEAM, when getting to the PL is superior. But as fans, all they’ve got to really remember, savour and cherish for their 20 years of “dominance”, is a 4-2 win at Hillsborough. That’s the ONLY thing they’ll be watching back on YouTube from that period! “
Winning a league 1 play offs is better than the amazing seasons we've had with all the promotions we've had automatically. Yeah ok.

The funny thing is that they can only watch things back on Youtube, we live in the present and enjoy these things as they happen as they happen far more regularly

I know I'm the 20th person to comment on this but:

This is genuine mental stuff. Assume it's Pig Too Long?
