Shrewsbury at home, I suspect that when the fixtures came out last June this particular fixture received little attention, the majority of fans would have given it a cursory glance and a tick in the easy 3 points at home box.

How things change, the significance that this fixture has now assumed is beyond anyone's wildest predictions, another drab performance yielding anything less than 3 points accompanied by a winning margin of less than 2 or 3 clear goals and the season moves a step closer to a complete write off.

For the record their last 6 games are W2 L4 and they are languishing in 20th position.

I don’t think the margin is key at the moment. We just desperately need a win to end the rot, stay in playoff contention and hopefully get some momentum ahead of Barnsley. Start slow or fall behind and the atmosphere will get unpleasant. I’d take a scruffy 1 goal win to be honest although I’d much rather win in style.

Sorry, that was tongue in cheek, I never thought for one second we would lose tonight. I'm now resigned to the relegation I have been warning about for five years. It will be league 2 before the championship. What an utter disgrace.
