Cheers Roy,
Think they are hopeful that something might happen for them based on a 'winless runs must end sometime' mentality, rather than genuine confidence.
Its up to the Blades to impose their quality on the game and kill any hope they have as early in the game as possible.
After we have given them a sound thrashing I hope they recover and go on a good run and get out of trouble.

Potential banana skin this one and I would imagine CW is perfectly aware of that, type of game we could come unstuck if we turn up thinking 3 points are in the bag....one set of comments was right, we were very, very lucky at their place!

“A lot better at home but they are not a footballing side.Beatable but we’ve got to get the team selection right from the start”

Absolutely clueless, im not saying we're not beatable, we are, but we are 100% a better footballing side than the majority of the division........passing it around the back four for half the game isn't the definition of a 'footballing side'

Can I just ask as our style of play (pushing up the wingbacks) actually caught us out too many times this season .... I can't recall it has yet opposition fans seem to think it has?

Very confident for a team without an away win all season. Or is it wishful thinking that they're bound to win one sooner or later.

they are unbeaten in 6 but 5 of them were draws, they have only won 2 games & taken 11pts from 11 games this calendar year. which would have them on projected 44pts. which as ive said before only 2 teams in the current premier league pyramid have survived with that total Birmingham 2014 & reading 2018 rotherham are projected to have worse GD than both

Yep, and their 6 games unbeaten are against:

Millwall (A) - 20th
Wigan (H) - 19th
Hull (A) - 10th
Wednesday (H) - 13th
Reading (A) - 21st
Blackburn (H) - 17th

Not exactly a murderer's row of fixtures that. Looking at their remaining games it will be a hell of an effort to stay up - us, Norwich, Derby, Forest, Birmingham, WBA and Boro all to play. That said, the teams around them aren't up to much.

Thanks Roy.

Those first few comments are taking the piss surely? I grew up in Ecclesfield & also lived in Thorpe Hesley so count a few Rovrum fans as mates, & by & large they are sensible, much prefer us over the pigs as well, but those comments would not have come from anyone of theirs that I know. I thought they caused us as much trouble as anyone at their place but they must realise that was a poor performance by us & is very unlikely to happen against them again.

"Yes they are where they are by sheer effort and determination and well done to them"

It's funny how well you can seemingly do with zero quality whatsoever, just a positive mental attitude. I'm minded to turn up at Bramall Lane on Saturday with a pair of boots and offer my services. I'm pumped and ready.

Yes, I'm looking forward to us pissing the League this season, pissing the Premier League next season and then the Champions League the season after, all it takes is the good positive mental attitude that we've apparently already got. Skill, flair and ability, is obviously not required

“It was a bore draw that’s for sure, but maybe the Blades didn’t want to risk any injuries ahead of their real cup final on Saturday.

Liked this one though :D

"We are undefeated for 6 and surely must go forward with a strong mental attitude. Bring them on I say, we do not fear them."

And I say being 22nd in the table with 3 points out of the last 18 away...

I think it’s now 42 championship away games without a win

'Last gaining an away win in The Championship on 9th April 2016 with a 4-0 win at MK Dons, this Saturday is The Millers’ 43rd attempt to get three away points at this level – 1,064 days…However The Millers have recently become ‘draw specialists’ with creditable away draws at Reading, Hull and Millwall. Six days early, but ‘Beware The Ides of March’?' according to a sad statto on this thread.:)

Manager of the month
Derby (of sorts)
They haven't won away all season

We are Sheffield United. We will win.

Cheers Roy. They’re a confident bunch aren’t they??. WTF?.
22nd in the league and not won away all season!!. Let’s stuff em. UTB

Rotherham is one of the most direct teams in the league so I'm surprised that one of their fans thinks we're not a footballing side. Maybe he hasn't seen us play this season!

I'm going for 2 - 0 Blades tomorrow. We just need the first goal, otherwise, they'll be as defensive as Wednesday were at the Lane.

An enemy of my enemy is my friend, that's why I don't mind them and they quite like us, I hope they manage to stay up because if they do that they'll have took points off all our rivals, as long as they go on their run next week

Tough tough game, but at home we are a strong proposition and without being too disrespectful they have a lot of energy but lack real quality, where as we have both. Adding to that, our defence is used to getting clean sheets now so I think the Millers will struggle to score against us.

They will be hard to break down though themselves though.

Going for a nervy 1-0; us to score and control the game for 45 minutes, only to endure a barrage of aerial bombardment for most of the second half.

Thanks Roy, mostly sensible one or two smell of deludomol perhaps

I hope we batter them now after those comments , & send them sulking back to Toytown to prepare for League One.

“We don’t have a prayer
Wilder is an excellent manager and he has said countless times since we payed them at NYS, that we were the better team. This clever management is a safeguard against complacency. Sheff united will not underperform again against us”

This guy gets it.
Thanks Roy.

this is a derby so this is going to be difficult game, because Rotherham needing to survive & a derby they will be up for this, players will treat it as cup final like saw at the New York Stadium espically with the survival battle. but if played like they did v 2 Sheffield clubs they be going for the playoffs but they are in the bottom 3 below reading amazing considering they were worst side ive seen in many years at the lane. so how bad have been in the other 33

they are unbeaten in 6 but 5 of them were draws, they have only won 2 games & taken 11pts from 11 games this calendar year. which would have them on projected 44pts. which as ive said before only 2 teams in the current premier league pyramid have survived with that total Birmingham 2014 & reading 2018 rotherham are projected to have worse GD than both
if they finish with 44 points it'll be nearly double what they got last time.
