Got my train ticket to Nottingham already. Can't wait to see a 20,000 capacity crowd at Meadow Lane tomorrow for Rochdale tomorrow. Special thanks to Notts County for letting us use their facilities whilst we water our pitch.

It's a reasonable move by the club - we really don't want that lovely new pitch ruined by all them clogs :(

Never wore any of that glam rock shit, but I did love my Levi flares and can't believe now how we thought they looked so cool - in fact I remember trying on some narrow leg jeans and thinking how big and daft they made my feet look.
Wore huge flares and even cut them up the side and my sister sewed psychedelic material in to make the flares even bigger. Can't recall having Levi flares, by the time I could afford them 501's were £5 a pair  I got my cheaper flares from Bunny's at the bottom of Snigg Hill

Showing my age (though not like you b56!) I remember the 1-0 win in the first ever meeting. Was a bitterly cold icy day and I'm sure our game was one of only half a dozen or so played that day. We were piss poor but King Keith scrambled one in and that was good enough for us. 3 points ( for the first season ever) and home to defrost
I went to that game too. It was really foggy driving over the M62 and I ended up falling over at any icy service station. It was freezing as has been said.
It was an interesting sports day as I think it was the day that Villa gave a debut to Didier Six, not sure if it was a 5 Nations Day or that it was a County Rugby day eg: Yorks v Lancs. That really is showing my age as they were seen as important games.

I actually used to wear boots like that to go clubbing. My dad went spare when he found out they cost £12, said I could have got them free on NHS.
When I was a milkman in the mid seventies one of the lads wore these to do the milk round. Not as a bet I might add. Ten miles a day and never a twisted ankle.

To be fair Levi's was not the norm for me either, used to get some of my clobber from Bunny's, it was by the entrance to Castle Market thougn not on Snig Hill wasn't it?

Bunnys. My mate and I were trying to remember the name. Bought my first Levi jacket from there.

They always had Harringtons in the window.

Think that was Harvey Freemans. Bunny's was just below the 88 bus stop outside the mucky ducks (Black Swan)Merry England bar
