We're almost a 1/3 of the way into the season. We're above the fabled 2 points per game ratio.

The optomism should start at some point? Why shouldn't we go up, we're one of the best sides I've seen this season and that's chopping and changing most weeks.

A few more wins and we should be starting to believe. Only two teams out of twelve could honestly say they were a match for us and one of those got lucky. Obviously a long way to go, but same time last year I thought we would go up. Just didn't expect to go up so convincingly

A bit of a mixed bag in there Roy the odd compliment but when it comes from a 60 year old Daily Mail reading Thatcherite that bemoans having to travel North they can stick it where the sun don,t shine , Looks like I got a bite or two on the plastic , soulless , MK Dons alike comment which I fully standby , at least one of them acknowledges there was a Reading pre 1994 though I doubt he ever saw Elm Park like the 11k others of his compatriots at the Stadio del Plastico and their mannequin support . Hope we send home to there Stepford Wife existence with a handful of fuck all ... ps I hope they pick these comments up too just to re-iterate my dislike of their whole outfit

Ps, What’s the name of there message board ,,,

Their main forum is called "Hob Nob Anyone?". It's gone over my head to be honest

Thanks! You learn something new everyday!
Happy to help!

When I first moved here Reading were a 3rd-tier side going nowhere. You'd never see anyone wearing a Reading shirt round town, and there was a lot of support for London clubs (esp Chelsea) & Southampton. Since then the town has got richer due to the influx of IT companies, and the football team likewise thanks to Madejski's cash. When they started doing well, Reading shirts were suddenly everywhere - they even sold them in John Lewis. "Life-long Reading fans" appeared from nowhere.

As someone that worked in Reading for a decade and all my colleagues supported Arsenal/Manure and any other cheats unless Reading were doing well i find their comments hilarious. No pub within a mile of the ground, says it all, no tradition, plastic fans, and not even worth a ten pence bag for life....

Cheers Roy, bloody fantastic service my friend.
Hitting the road early to travel up from Cornwall for my first home game of the season. Been kept alive by all the talk on here and can’t wait to see the boys and savour the atmosphere - been singing the chip butty song to myself all day

Where even is Reading? I'm from the Midlands and I don't know! I could point out Kuching in Sarawak or Reykjavik in Iceland on a map but Reading, nope not a clue.

Hope it was worth it. :)

I've been to Kuching. Luvleh place
Yes it is and if the Malaysian and Indonesian governments could just have a think about leaving some forest on Borneo rather than solely plantations for palm oil it might remain a luvleh place
