I see they’re turning on Edwards now even though he was the best thing since sliced bread. Fickle game.

What’s do they expect? To get them promoted in the first place was an achievement. They’re not a big club, have no real money and a team that was playing above their capabilities. They were non-league not so long ago, so youd think they’d be talking more sense.

So,
They'll win us as usual , or lose 3-0.
They have prem players, or we have a better squad.
I get it.

Thanks Roy. Not sure what you can make of these apart from you can see them baying for a managerial change soon.
And the first three who I can only assume by their enthusiasm are about 9 years old.

“I have nothing against them personally but the only people who want a Chris Wilder managed Sheffield United team back in the prem next season… are Sheffield United fans”

Probably true but so what ?
Bizarre comment isn’t it. No one gives a fuck what other teams get promoted.

Could somebody please explain this to me, or is it just commenting for the sake of commenting?🤷‍♂️
I think it is a reference to us not being an exciting addition to the PL. Too much listening to PL pundits who think we don’t belong there when Leeds, Birmingham and Sunderland aren’t there ?

Although we did do that in 1994 and 2007, the last 2 relegations from the Prem (unless this season starts going dramatically tits up, which it still may do) we haven't slid into Champ mediocrity, instead we seem to have slid into the Yo-yo Club.
To.be fair in 1994-06, we generally chances of going up in all but 4 of those seasons and finish above half way in all but 2 seasons.

In so far as any PL fan cares to give a shit (which isn’t far), why would SUFC bring any interest to the Prem next season? We’re not a ‘new’ team, and any good reputation we may have built in 2019-20 we fully flushed down the toilet in 20/21 and 23/24 by stinking the place out.

At this stage we’re basically Norwich or West Brom from a few years ago.

I think of Luton as one of those teams that we find awkward to play. On the face of it you'd think we'd beat them but I think for this game, previous results go out of the window. Plus if Carlton Morris is playing, he's bound to score against us.

I don't get the hate for Wilder, he's been nothing but complimentary about our last two opponents. I can't think of any managers in this league that I have a strong opinion about and I include Rohl in that (he's actually done quite well with what he's got to deal with).

We don’t bring any interest at all to the premier league or fans of other clubs.

We don’t pretend to either. Unlike Luton who seem to think the league would welcome them back over us.

The reality is none of them give a fuck. They’re more interested in some sort of super league or making it a closed shop and cancelling promotions and relegations compared to what cannon fodder is coming up from the championship.

We peaked their interest a bit for about 6 months with our overlapping centre halves but that’s long forgotten now.

True, we haven't done too badly at all recently compared to other clubs (e.g Stoke, Swansea Hull etc)

I would wonder who the interesting teams to get promoted would be
Cant believe theyre turning on Edwards already
The only interesting aspect of Luton being in the Premier league was the Cinderella club angle…That’s all. Whereas there’s plenty of clubs our size up there already.

Cheers Roy.
Weird bunch.
I understand there’s no Morris or Chong tomorrow.
How do you them apples?

They're just triggered because we beat them away in the season we were far and away the worst team in the league.

Thanks Roy.

Lower league club in delusions of grandeur shocker. Their rising star has already crashed & burned & I would think it more likely they would struggle in this league rather than get out of it from the top, & apparently it is their managers fault already.

They had David Evans as chairman, disliked the wankers ever since.

"Maggie, can I kiss your arse please?
Can we have an ID card scheme to drive attendances even lower and completely destroy football as we know it"?

That David Evans?

I'm surprised at Luton struggling currently, but then again I'm not sure I've seen them play since they beat us.

We'd still love to have their strikers.
Saw some of their game against Plymouth in the pub, they looked dire. Comfortably beaten by one of the worst sides in the division.

How times change & fickle fans can be ..Edwards got them promoted with a limited resource's , made a fist of it in Prem & we’re seldom hammered like some we got but lacked the quality & depth line we like we did , 8 games in and some of there lot wanting him gone ! .. The only got out of the National league 10 years ago .. how some fans expectations change

Also didn’t understand it. I can only assume they don’t like Wilder for some reason

It'll be about our perceived style.

I remember their comments from last year when we beat them. We "dragged them down to our level".

They see themselves as superior, and I've hated the jumped up c*unts ever since.

I've not watched them much but i've rarely been impressed by their style

I'm on team swiss.

They became very, very enamoured with themselves and it, last year

Been a real treat watching the penny slowly drop on their forum this year.

Agree

Shows how your rising star and time in the sun can fade very quickly . Edward’s , like Wider , deserved Statues at their clubs for their achievements. Get Pep in . He would be getting lambasted within weeks
