Same feel to it as the pigs pre-bouncing day…and we all know how that ended😎

"Having had a worse striker injury crisis than us it’s taken t’Blades a while to readjust They have finished the season well but their wins against QPR and Fulham, whilst convincing, where not as impressive as ours against the same opposition with what was at stake at the time of the respective fixtures."

Eh? Not as impressive?

We literally had our participation in the play offs hanging by a thread and pulled out two amazing results, one an absolute hammering of a team that just put a play off contender away 7-0. By the way Fulham absolutely dicked Forest in their first encounter.

Before we played Fulham my Dad asked me for my prediction and I told him 4-0. Admittedly I was probably on the wind up because he was going down the route of United always let you down etc.

There is nothing better than seeing a bunch of cocky fuckers be brought down a peg or two so those comments are music to my ears and mirror some of those from Fulham.

The whole nobody can live with us mantra. Well, let me put another angle on this one. Despite their apparent all conquering nature they were second best at their home and squeezed a draw and they couldn't beat us at our home despite us having a full team worth of players out injured and unavailable.

In big games we've delivered and they have been our two most recent games. In their most recent big game, they bottled it vs Bournemouth. They then bottled it vs Hull.

Bring them on!

They’re certainly the best side we’ve played this season, in my opinion.

Luton and Huddersfield are the worst and brought out the worst in us.

So for those reasons you’d simply want to play Luton or Huddersfield.

However, it’s not that simple and the fact that Forest we’re well placed to take 2nd but finished 4th can also be telling on how their state of mind is. But I don’t think it will matter.

Forest are a good side, they’ve proved they can handle pressure during those cup games and they are a dangerous side when they attack. But they’re not unbeatable. I’m not sure why so many of their fans are so confident.

It’s two legs, yes they have the home advantage second leg but they have to be on their game tomorrow otherwise it could make the 2nd leg very difficult for them.

I’m not confident but I’m also not thinking we will get smashed either. We have to start strong. The back 3 is settled, Steven’s coming back to form and fitness is a big boost as is the possibility of Baldock coming in. I’m not confident with Ozzy generally, but more so at right back as he seems more switched on and does the simple things better.

Norwood, fleck and Berge are doing well, though if it’s warm I think Fleck and Berge might suffer, so Hourihane might be a good replacement.

Not worried about MGW and Ndiaye, but they have to take the big chances when they come

Well they are a confident bunch aren’t they. I work in Nottingham and surprised by the amount who have already booked hotels and booked the Monday off work. When I walked through the city centre this week there was some council workers in market square making arrangements for Forests promotion party. A very confident bunch!

Stick some of those on the dressing room wall, Hecky!

“We know we can beat them.
They think they can beat us.”

Errm…how exactly do they ‘know’ this

“Suggestion is that they’ve given us the upper tier?”

Have we given them the upper tier? This really should have been mentioned on the forum

History repeats itself you cocky scab bastards. Robin Hood is from Sheffield, Brian Clough was shit 🖕😐🖕

Said it before, they really are an odd bunch Notts folk.
They don't seem too worried about MGW or Ndiaye, or the fact we've barely conceded many goals.
I expect us to go all out for the win, and take something to Nottingham to build on (or defend, depending which way you look at it)

Cheers roy, i didnt find the pig in this view from , they appear a confident bunch so come on lets smask em

Agree....would you take a 1-0 now...if offered.
A 1-0 Blades win would probably be a scoreline that both sides would be relatively happy with.

I'd be happy with any kind of lead...even 1-0 is decent because I think when we set out stall out to defend a lead....we're really good at defending.

Apart from the last 5 minutes of any match
...when all of a sudden nerves set in and we start to defend on the edge of out box....booting the ball out anywhere.
Hence why we've conceded so many last minute injury time goals.

I would take a 1-0 lead now, yes. Even though it isn't much of an advantage, as Forest would know they just need to go out and win the 2nd leg.

A 2 goal lead starts to create more of a psychological advantage however. That would be ideal.
