They mentioned a good point that I also considered.

Given a choice of opposition you'd want to play Luton followed by Huddersfield.
We've already played these 2 at the Lane and they put about 8 men behind the ball parking the bus.
This tactic from the opposition frustrates the players and the crowd and we tend to struggle.

Where as Forest are more open and attack minded....like Fulham were last week.
We'll be defending more....but we're good at prolonged defending....it's getting caught with long ball tactics that are our weakness.

So although Forest are the best of the 3 possible opponents.
You would normally prefer to avoid the best team but their style suits us better than Luton or Huddersfield.

Got to make this first leg count and take a lead there

Agree....would you take a 1-0 now...if offered.
A 1-0 Blades win would probably be a scoreline that both sides would be relatively happy with.

I'd be happy with any kind of lead...even 1-0 is decent because I think when we set out stall out to defend a lead....we're really good at defending.

Apart from the last 5 minutes of any match
...when all of a sudden nerves set in and we start to defend on the edge of out box....booting the ball out anywhere.
Hence why we've conceded so many last minute injury time goals.

Can understand their confidence, they’ve been the better side over the season and we have many injuries.

On our day we can match anybody however.

Don't think I've seen such confidence in a set of fans since we were playing in the PL last season and even more so the season before.

They are right to be confident, but If I was them I'd never discount any team we face. The championship is what it is. Fulham spanked Luton for 7 to seal the title.
We spank Fulham for 4.
Who would have expected Preston to beat Boro 4-1 in the final game too? Maybe a win but such a big one?

Even a few weeks ago with the form that Forest were in I thought they were maybe going to beat Bournemouth and pip them to 2nd. Bournemouth deservedly won that match on the balance of play. Yeah Forest were unlucky first half but Bournemouth dominated the 2nd and got the goal.

I'm going into the match with some optimism but no over confidence. We can be one of the best sides in the division even with out striker crisis. But as showed vs Reading if you don't quite show up you get punished. Lets back them and see what happens...

No doubt they're a good team, and one of the best who've come to the Lane, but Forest have had one of those seasons where everything has gone for them. Lots of late goals, almost no injuries, plenty of refereeing decisions in their favour (did you see the WBA game a few weeks ago?). Reminds me of us in 02/03 - we had plenty of stuff go our way that season too.

I just wonder whether they're finally going to get some bad luck over the next couple of games. It's almost as if some of them can sense they're due something with the comments about offside/VAR etc
