What a bunch of absolute dickheads, Nottingham people have this bizarre image that they live in some cosmopolitan metropolis on the English Riviera and that their football team are one of Europe's heavyweights. In reality it's a shithole with a lot of gang violence on the River Trent (complete with shopping trolleys) and their team hasn't been relevant for 40 years.

I'm 45 now.

As a Primary school kid I once did some fundraising to raise money for the Zebrugge ferry disaster.

I was rightly proud of myself at the time.

Thing is, I don't still fucking go on about it as if it were yesterday, like Forest and Wednesday do. It's as relevant as Wednesday and Forest speaking of their achievements from what is now the last century!

Forest are one of a handful of clubs whose fans really don’t like United, whereas we on the other hand rarely give them a 2nd thought.

Forest, Derby, Norwich, Ipswich, Hull and Barnsley of the top of my head.

I’m sure there’s some obvious ones I’ve missed.

Its all a bit weird.

Have a brother in law lives Nottingham, has done for sometime now. His saving grace is he were born and bred a 'Yellowbelly', top lad really but now like myself getting creeky with bits falling off.
On subject, both teams much on par, whoever turns up on the night should win, if they both turn up should be a 'cracker'. UTB.

just to counter this, and to clarify, i rly don't care that much despite living in Notts (and for the record, i think Sheffield, where i was born and raised, is a much better city)

Isn't there more gang violence in Sheffield these days? every time i go back, it's a shooting on Eccy rd or a rape, or someone's been stabbed. Honestly not seen a peep in Nottingham, even in the news which i follow. It really seems to have calmed down since peace was made between the two gangs and the Gunn's were apprehended here in the 2000's.

Also the Trent is a beautiful river, i jog along it 3 times a week and i've never witnessed a trolley, just swans and the boating club. Just my two cents

I don’t live in either, I live in Chesterfield where we have tonnes of shopping trolleys, 6 fingers and are related to everyone else in the town. A ride on a good looking cousin is also seen as a decent night

Nottingham is nowhere near as nice as the residents make out though
