In your defence, we do seem to have quite a few local games. Not derbies, because there is only one derby- but there seems to be a few away grounds very close to us this season

That would improve our away support, no doubt. But so would an absence of typical west country apathy!

There's not much evidence of people particularly enjoying home games this season, never mind away ones. Funny lot, us down here

Yes very happy. Looks likely that you will do the double over us this year tho and get promoted, im sure revenge is sweet.

Hope you're right! Not sure about tomorrow, though. Now you're done with cup football, reckon you will be a form side until end of the season (then poss mess play offs up!;-)

Bring your lad down AG once the refurb is finished!

Balls the wrong shape for you lot isn't it?

City fan here in peace, looking forward to tomorrows game as two decent sides in the league coming head to head.
The opening day of the season seems so long ago now, always wonder where we would be if the opening day had turned out differently

For those of you making the trip South, have a safe journey, and enjoy the new away end. Certainly an improvement on the facilities that you used to experience in the old East End. The ground currently looks like a building site, the old away end (you are opposite end now) has been demolished and is in the process of being rebuilt, due to space constraints the two corners are being built first before the central block, that will make sense when you see it tomorrow.

The stand which will be on your left (The Dolman Stand) has just had the bottom tier knocked out, where they are going to build a new lower tier with a different angle in the seats and will in time build exits into the stand.

Only injury worry we have is Wilbraham, he returned at MK last Saturday after being out since before Christmas, but he would only start on the bench if fit anyway.
Anyway enjoy the cider and don't enjoy the result too much

Fucking cider?

We've also had a lot of games of late and lots coming up so can't blame fans for picking n choosing.

Also there was a real possibility it could have been called off which may have put fans off booking cheaper train tickets.

That said If we were in the top two it'd be sold out.

Yes I shall, hopefully for a Championship fixture

When we went to Rovers in the cup the other year. I liked the scoreboard;

GAS 1 BLADES 2

I enjoyed a very tasty Balti Pie at half-time and sat next to this fella who ate three!

He liked his grub that fella.

Rovers over City for me.

Bristol Rovers nickname at the time I went to the 1972 Watney Cup final was The Pirates

I live in Spain and away travel is a new phunomin phenoni phemon -----thing Roads here were shite up to fleecing the EU
Its just starting to be a day out , but bilbao will only take a car full to Malaga purely down to distance, its a ten hour drive .
When Tenerife are in top league flights are needed . and only barca and real appear to take more as they have fans all over Spain

Im taking in Seville v Cordoba tommorrow a derby of sorts but its a 4 hour drive from Alicante area where I live

I did a year living in Lisbon, so I decided to go follow Benfica and I couldn't believe how little fans travelled away from home. I went to watch them away all season and to say they have something like 200,000 members anything over a 3 hour journey they'd only take a couple of hundred fans. They'd only be bothered if they played Porto or Sporting.

P.s people who use the word 'tinpot' deserve a special place in hell personally

I was at that game as well, Blackmans goal was a belter

Remarkable that we and Bristol C manage to be 9th &11th in the away following charts when at a fair number of grounds we sell out our away allocations, No such difficulties most of the time for the self proclaimed S6 massive in the larger championship stadiums.

And of course, you must remember that the porky ones are MASSIVE and there is every likelihood that IF they were challenging for promotion, their away games may all have to be switched to Wembley stadium to accommodate the massive army of travelling ladyboys !!
