Cheers Roy, rightly confident lot and continuing the myth about our 'good home record'... :D

Bit Ladyboy with their obsession with crowds and following.

All a bit Wednesday, isn't it. It's not as if they've been big away travellers themselves. I would have thought we'd have sold 1,100, but when the hope this weekend was for a home game against ManUre, an away trip to Brizzle is a pretty shit second prize.

They do appear to have a "ladyboy" fetish don't they ...... quite amusing to read their thoughts about us.

Of course, we ALL are fully aware that nobody could possibly have such MASSIVE support as the porcine ladyboys, that goes without saying but we aren't too bad ourselves for a little Club ;)

presumably, when Brizzle City get promoted this year they will have a real "pig fest" next season and drool all over each other

City fan here in peace, looking forward to tomorrows game as two decent sides in the league coming head to head.
The opening day of the season seems so long ago now, always wonder where we would be if the opening day had turned out differently

For those of you making the trip South, have a safe journey, and enjoy the new away end. Certainly an improvement on the facilities that you used to experience in the old East End. The ground currently looks like a building site, the old away end (you are opposite end now) has been demolished and is in the process of being rebuilt, due to space constraints the two corners are being built first before the central block, that will make sense when you see it tomorrow.

The stand which will be on your left (The Dolman Stand) has just had the bottom tier knocked out, where they are going to build a new lower tier with a different angle in the seats and will in time build exits into the stand.

Only injury worry we have is Wilbraham, he returned at MK last Saturday after being out since before Christmas, but he would only start on the bench if fit anyway.
Anyway enjoy the cider and don't enjoy the result too much

This loosely translates to "Glory Hunters"...

“Sheff utd bought 900 just over last year”

“Point proven.”

“Which is about 300 more than we took to them for the opener this season, that was piss poor.”

“I’m sure we’d take a lot more now.”

“That was a midday kick off, live on Sky."

"If that had been a normal 3pm KO then we would likely have taken 2k to that game.
If it was being played now, we would probably be taking 4k."

Wonder if they are viewing our forum? - http://www.football-league.co.uk/documents/average-travelling-fans549-2006712.pdf

Bramall Lane is still reeling of course from the phenomenal numbers Bristol City brought themselves.

:tumbleweed:

Yes, one poster talked them up from 600, to 2000 if it had been a 3pm kick off to 4000 if it was them travelling this weekend. A 650% increase in one post, which is very W*dnesday.

Perhaps the visiting Phantom could tell us when they took more than 4000 away?

I'm not going to Bristol due the the simple fact that i am skint after the last month....QPR, Spurs home and away MK franchise and Gillingham, there's no wonder we haven't sold the allocation, i know i'm set back about £300 notes.

They are the Pork of Bristol. Big club in mind only. They were in the first division once you know.

Looking at some of those comments, I'm guessing that some of the 'Original Pork' have been busy enrolling on the Bristol (City!) forum. Not that they've got anything else going on at the moment.

You lot are paying far too much attention to a smattering of crackpots, oddballs, loners, obsessives and idlers with not-enough-going-on-in-their-lives on our forum. The drivel on there is beyond belief at times, and the amount of in-fighting and squabbling, in this season of seasons (up until now), is pathetic.

And loads of them don't even go to the bloody games.

The team, in contrast, is rather good this year

NB 'Phantom' on here is alright, and does go to games.

Not in the minds of most. We know what we are. We are a club in the south of England, not exactly the hearbeat of English football, one or two hotspots aside. And then, in the south-west, to boot! A dopey, sleepy backwater.

We do, though, enjoy winding our neighbours up by reminding them how tiny they are and much of the "big" nonsense comes from this.

Those 4 years in the old First Division though, for those of us over 40 and that remember, are hard to let go of and do/have warped our expectations of what we "should" be capable of.

still taking more away than bristol city though , officially we are 9th out of 72

Your away support is very good, and miles better than ours. We all know that.

There are very few clubs in the south of the country, outside London, and say Pompey/Soton, with proper away support.

Having said that, we do have further to travel than most. Oldham to Rochdale is less than our rural fans travel to home games!

I live in Spain and away travel is a new phunomin phenoni phemon -----thing Roads here were shite up to fleecing the EU
Its just starting to be a day out , but bilbao will only take a car full to Malaga purely down to distance, its a ten hour drive .
When Tenerife are in top league flights are needed . and only barca and real appear to take more as they have fans all over Spain

Im taking in Seville v Cordoba tommorrow a derby of sorts but its a 4 hour drive from Alicante area where I live

Remarkable that we and Bristol C manage to be 9th &11th in the away following charts when at a fair number of grounds we sell out our away allocations, No such difficulties most of the time for the self proclaimed S6 massive in the larger championship stadiums.

Fair point well put but I'm a closet Gashead so I would always look at it that way up :)

Oh and you once employed that pig wanker Carl Shutt. For that I will never forgive you.

Aww, bless, a closet gashole, that's sweet! Who hasn't got a fave non-league club? Mine used to be Yeovil, now look at them!

Remember Carl Shutt scoring 4 one night v Fulham. And, er, a great header at Bramall Lane one night, too

I'm a Bristol lad and went last season with my 6 yr old, you can just spot me briefly on 13 secs one arm a loft with my young un in my arms
wearing white shorts in this clip:

cant make it tomorrow, my boys have a game, but 80% of my mates are city fans and my second club is the rovers (sorry I inherited them
when I moved down here at age 8 as all my class mates supported them).

As I say to my mates, may the best team win who's called the blades and all the worst for tomorrow :o)

In your defence, we do seem to have quite a few local games. Not derbies, because there is only one derby- but there seems to be a few away grounds very close to us this season

Blimey, two Blade-gasholes! You must've been happy at AG last season!
