More silverware, more seasons in the top flight, a fan base they can only dream of.....that's that taken care of.

They're even shit in the Wankashire pecking order. Just above Bury and waaay below Blackburn, Burnley and Wigan.

Actually surprisingly both Bolton and Blackburn have BETTER histories than us.
Hence why both sets of supporters genuinely think of themselves as "big clubs".

Bolton spent 73 season in the top flight
Bolton been in 7 FA cup finals winning 4

Sheff Utd spent 60 season in the top flight
Sheff Utd been in 6 FA cup finals winning 4

But of course both the Bolton and Blackburn historical support is quite poor and less than ours.

During the last 4 season in the Championship Bolton has averaged 14,000 every season.
So their current 13,000 gates are pretty good for them.
Any length of time in league 1 and Bolton will struggle to break 10K gates.

With all this talk of "Sheffield" hope these daft pie munchers don't roll up at Dronny.

We both have 4 FA Cups, but we have a league title to add to it.

“one fact is that Bolton are a much bigger club than Sheffield. Much more recent success regarding prem and champ football. Fans who turn up regardless unlike blades.”

Wow.

Think that guy's been taking a bit too much Deludamol.

I believe its a reasonable diagnosis to suggest hes been infected with the dangerous "swine fever" and is suffering from the associated symptoms of "massivitis" ........

He'll get on well in the institution with his fellow porcine inmates ......

Though the comment about them turning up regardless unlike us is hilarious, I'd love to see the attendance differences between the clubs since they were relegated from the prem!

Nuff said. The 2016/17 figures are up to the present day. Not much room for argument there.

Good stuff Weird one!

Nice to have the authentic thing back, rather than the market stall imitation of earlier in the week.

Any good at graphs, Roy? :D

Nah. Just copy & paste. :D

Does it annoy anyone else they believe they have beaten our full strength team twice?

be a different team there playing Saturday.

actually its probably better they think that.

Spot on, we are a much stronger proposition this time around, they are arguably weaker.

Spent 2/3 years occasionally watching both Sheffield clubs when I lived in the city and Bramhall Lane is a great place..."

Don't buy into the beaten us twice so nothing to fear. First game of season either though we lost still thought we were better team, and we've come on massively since then. And the second was that joke of a cup which no ones give a hoot about

FA Cup a joke?

We outplayed them in the FA Cup when a couple of our regulars came on for 20 minutes. It'll be interesting to see how they cope with them for 90 minutes.

As I've said already I'm certain we'll outplay them and even dominate the game. It's just making it count that's the worry, especially against a team who are strong at set pieces.

Didn't some posters say something similar about Walsall ;)

I agree that Bolton are a bigger club than Sheffield. I would have thought the capacity of the Coach and Horses Ground at Dronfield doesn't even equate to one block on their away end. Massive gap in terms of capacity and revenues generated. Plus the fact that Sheffield FC have never played League football is also a factor.
Got to agree with that brother !

Indeed - I thought we didn't do too bad in the cup game.

We were poor from corners and set pieces - Spearings balls into the box were very good that day. Clough had a decent game and looked dangerous everytime he got on the ball too.

We just need to concentrate at set pieces, but be very careful NOT to concede stupid free kicks in our own half.

Bolton won't win unless we mess it up. I smell a sending off with the ref..........stay on your feet Mr Basham!

This week I've seen some of the most deluded fans on social media, they're ridiculous, they way they're going on you'd think they were 10 points clear at the top, we cam close to them twice with a shite team, there's if anything has got weaker. I really hope we give them a good thrashing.

And all this ticket talk, saw one guy claim that half the home crowd will be Bolton fans, there embarrassing, then theres the rubbish comparing Gary Madine and Billy Sharp.

Blackburn are a nothing club with crap fans, just the money from he legacy of Jack Walker. I respect Bury far more than both Bolton and Blackburn. Take my hat off to Burnley though. They have an incredible support given how small Burnley/Nelson is.

Another argument I cannot get my head round is "biggest", some teams are bigger, man United are bigger than Fleetwood but Bolton? Bigger than us? B-) B-) B-)

Maybe they are referring to the massive lumps in their team (Beevers, Wheater, Madine, Trotter, Moxey etc.). Maybe that’s what the pigs were actually on about for all these years too!

It bodes well that Spearing, Clough and Ameobi have been the main thorns in our side when we’ve played them as they can’t call on any of those 3. Still, their giant CBs on set pieces and James Henry, Adam Le Fondre and the thick piece of pig-shit will cause a few problems. Hopefully we can cause them more.

I keep reading about there strength at set pieces, fair enough but we are a different proposition from last season, God we were awful, every time a team got a free kick or corner you felt they would score but we are much, much better now and with the addition of Hanson we should be be ok but I agree dane them losing spearing, clough and ameobi is good for us not just tomorrow but there chances against everybody else.

weve got Billy Sharp ,they've got a washing machine. We win the bigger than you argument.
