You know how nonsensical that is 👆👆??

That table means we are bigger and better than Tottenham, but worse than Preston. Preston who haven't been in the top flight for over 60 years
It's for the 500 year cup. Not sure I'll be alive to see it awarded though. Shame, I hear it's huge!!!

It is nonsensical.

Team A could get 90pts and win the Championship.
Team B could get 75pts and lose in the Play Offs.

Next season...

Team A gets 40pts in PL and stays up.
Team B gets 75pts again and loses in the play offs again.

Using your magic league table, Team B is more successful than Team A.
id agree if wed spent 30 or 40 years in totally different divisions
but weve had 11 in div 3 wednesday 10 soon to be 11 same as us
theyve had 4 in the top flight more and they just 3 less in the championship. we had 1 in div 4
in 130 years we are 40 games apart in league matches
all 3 efl leagues are of 46 game duration the prem 38 and they had 5 seasons in 2nd div with 42 games hence 40 games difference

if in 3 years time weve gone up and stayed up in the prem and they stay in the efl we will both have the same time in all the divisions

and we will only have played 16 games more
the owls often say we only got more points because we had a season in div 4 now thats nonsensical
its about being in all leagues over the 116 seasons completed

wednesday have had more bottom half finishes in div 3 than we have and theyve had more relegations than us

Last response on this from me...

But they've got more trophies than us.

But they've got more trophies than us.

They have 4 top flight wins and 9 league titles in total.
We have 4 league titles in total, 1 in each league.

Cups are level at 4 each.

So they've got MORE trophies, and better trophies.

They still have a trophy in the cabinet though, we've got a big fat mortgage and players worth bugger all as a result of that money that we once had.
we lost around 50m of projected prem income due to covid
Id say we are the unluckiest club in football
wait 12 years to get there and couldnt go to watch them
only club to fall foul of goal line technology
the west ham no punishment debacle

we finally win the cash prize of getting to the prem then get a large chunk taken away and lose a years gate money at top flight prices

and if play offs were never brought in and 3rd still went up wed have had as many prem seasons as wednesday at least

a rumblelows cup does not a big club make
if it did oxford and luton would be big and Birmingham massive as theyuve won it twice

id prefer it was scrapped its such a waste of time
teams play B teams gates are awful and its just to let one of the big 6 justify in some small way spending a billion poundf on players now
its not a cup Id covet
prefer getting to the prem any year
as Im sure even owls would `prefer to do that than their 23 year current absemce and could afford a fresh tarpaulin for the leppings lane stand

since sociasl media became everything dem pigs have yet to join a prem discussion group
I don’t think anyone is suggesting that the Rumbelows cup makes them big. Just that you might want to have a look at how imbalanced your argument is when it comes to pig matters. It’s not the playground and you’re not a child so try and look at facts through a grown up lens.

sorry but I see the league as the be all and as the bread and butter games

its about 46 games or 38 games and overall we over 116 seasons have slightly bettered the oinkers over 4000 plus league games

if you dont think thats a point worth making and your basing it on trophies won before Al Jolson made a talking picture yes they did slightly better than us in that period in terms of trophies
but as we never experienced those times I cant say as it related to the owls fans claim they are massive

this century thats the one we are experiencing now we have been above them for 16 of 22 years
of the 13 years weve been together in the same division theyve finished above us once
and that was thanks to a judge jailing our star player

thats what I think is relevant

and in 12 of those 13 together we earned more points and widened the gap in the all time table
thats just simple grown up maths

I don’t think there’s anything between the 2 clubs at all, I just find your insistence that we’re much bigger a load of biased nonsense.

It’s a childish argument.

Sunderland are definitely BIGGER than us and more successful.
Pigs are more successful than us. Last 5 or 6 years we've narrowed the gap on the fanbase.
Both the above and Bolton have had more top flight seasons than us.
Ipswich have won a European Competition, although their success was all within ~20yrs

Sometimes removing the tints offers a better view of things
Winning cups decads ago doesn’t make my club a big club now, it’s totally irrelevant. What does count is fanbase, infrastructure, stadium and income and we beat the pigs on every single count.

There’s no “narrowing” of the gap. We’ve done it and indisputably now we have the bigger fanbase. We have the better stadium, infrastructure and income. Pigs are small fry compared to us.

This is what our pathetic loyalty points system has done to our away support, and what fans of other clubs don't understand

We don't need a loyalty points system for away games and the empty sections of away stadiums after we struggle to sell the initial allocation with people and the club fucking about proves it.

“they are poor travelers though. Can’t even crack 2k for a short evening trip to the seaside. Poor for a local city club that’s in a great league position. Much like I said about Fulham if we were in the same position as the Blunts we’d be taking more than that”

“Considering the number they get at home, their away numbers are pretty poor, and have been for several years.”

There's a website that shows average away followings but I can't remember what it is. Without looking, i bet we're in the top 5.

Anyone know the site?

Try top 1. We have highest home gates this season and us and Forest have been battling for top spot away all season. Can’t remember the site but there’s updates on Twitter regularly 👍🏻

I can't remember the website either but EFLStats post "average home attendance not including away fans" and "average away following" updates every now and then.

These are the most recent, from Feb 21st:

Ah great reading Roy ..Thanks for reinforcing the reason why I can’t stand the 6 fingered lobotomised interbreeds .. I’ve seen fkg pond life with more intelligence than the grand total of their IQ …. A bitter little club & that’s gets about 9k crowds criticising the club averaging the the highest in the league probably with the highest away support average to .. hope we hammer em and return back to there rightful level in league 1 .. here’s a couple of FO pills 💊 💊 that I’ll hand out free to them tmmw outside the The Lane ⚔️

On the attendance front, for the most part I think the South Yorkshire clubs do OK. The anomaly for us is that we have four towns and five clubs. If you look at West Yorkshire they have lots of decent sized towns without a club. We don't have that. I know there are Blades in Worksop and Retford, but we don't really have the hinterland to pull support. I think this probably affects BFC the most. I think we do ok attendance wise.

That's the way, stick it to the 6 fingered twats!!!👍

Always hated the Dingles. Not as much as the pigs but more than anyone else, including Leeds. Their average fan is as close to a pig as you can get. Thick as shit and totally deluded.
Don't know where that comes from. Most Barnsley folk are fairly common sense.
They just see Barnsley as everything. Not in a big headed way, just a bit short sighted.
I don't hate em. Nice enough people.

To be honest, the vast majority of folks from Barnsley that I've met have been sound. Genuine people with some of the best Yorkshire accents out there. So they hate Sheffield United, I hate their football club and on the day, I hate every one of the fuckers but that's life. I'm glad they're passionate, should make for a good atmosphere.

All that talk about them being thick? Fuck me, we have jokers saying that MGW should pack in showboating, and yep, we have Brian the fucking Blade and all his bullshit so having a few thick fans is hardly exclusive to them.

You don’t get support from west Yorkshire areas like Hemsworth, Ackworth, South Elmsall, Wakefield , Denny Dale etc then ?
