Could it be that he wants to leave but doesn't want to resign for financial reasons....maybe he is holding out to be sacked?
Could be something in this, a strong rumour was he was done after palace but wanted a mutual agreement so his contract was paid up, the club wouldn’t agree to it.

I was expecting him to say he had held positive talks with the club. It doesn't seem like they were good discussions and it would appear there is zero progress on transfers as well.
That's what I thought.
' Did you have positive talks with the chief exec?'
' Well, I told them what I think' , type thing.

Not sure how to take it.

He can't resign and expect to be paid off.
Exactly.

So maybe he’s just going through the motions waiting for the sack 🤷‍♂️

certainly doesn’t seem himself.

yes the rumours could be bollocks but something is not right.

I reckon he has been told loan signings only and he has to sell to buy. Also, that he needs help with transfers.

He has certainly aged, he looks seriously fucked off, probably because this is his club and he’s feeling it, living and breathing it, like the rest of us. Of course he cant say how he really feels to the press, he has to dilute it.

He has given targets to the board of players he wants to bring in. Whether that means anything or not at the moment.

It wasn't the most comforting of press conferences, and Widler not himself, but then if he was something would be wrong also, since we're bottom of the league on 2 points!

Which all makes perfect sense given the position we're in. I'd rather us save our money for summer to make sure we can get for a promotion than blow what we haven't got now - given how much we've lost cos of covid etc.

Loan signings only been known for ages. Even HRH said it in his interview

What do people expect from this press conference?
We are bottom of the league on 2 points
We have numerous injuries
We have had cart loads of bad luck in the form of referees decisions, missed chances, fixture scheduling etc.

There have been people all over social media trying to stir it up, no doubt most from the other side of the city, I. E. The jealous souls who post on here.

Some of his signings have not worked out, yet he has gone back to the board asking for more money.

Yet he is expected to attend a press conference and convince sceptics that everything in the garden is Rosie, whilst some people become experts in body language, the number of times he mentions things and read things into the way he phrases his response to questions.
God give me strength and I am not Chis Wilder

Hi Stegosaurus here,

For those of us with the ability to read between the lines, it's clear that Wilder not only knows that his job is on the line but that's the Prince has a successor in mind. Reading further between the lines and after studying my tea leaves, the Third Eye tells me that his successor will be none other than Keith Curle or Remi Garde.

Hi, a Blade here.

Why don't you take your shit stirring pig twattery elsewhere?

What do people expect from this press conference?
Naked dancing girls and a sacrifice to the football gods in the form of a poster off here having their virginity taken before being burned alive in the centre circle

Just burn some of them alive, answers on a postcard

I appreciate that he is feeling down but leaders simply cannot display their feelings in times of crisis. I would have expected a much more upbeat interview along the lines off “BR are a very good side, Tisdale is an excellent coach but we’re up for this, the FA cup is important to us as a club and we are fit, well prepared and really looking forward to the game.”
If his demeanour is the same in the dressing room as it was during that interview he’ll not get the players fired up about anything.
