Finally some relatively interesting questions and relatively transparent answers

Twice he mentioned the term Head Coach. Obviously not referring to himself but I wonder if there's been talk behind the scenes of a Director of Football. Maybe I'm reading too much into it.

Yeah I picked up on that too, maybe that's how he's envisaging his role these days. He's usually very clever in terms of the language he uses so I can well imagine it was deliberate. Either that or we're both reading far too much into it!

Hi Stegosaurus here,

For those of us with the ability to read between the lines, it's clear that Wilder not only knows that his job is on the line but that's the Prince has a successor in mind. Reading further between the lines and after studying my tea leaves, the Third Eye tells me that his successor will be none other than Keith Curle or Remi Garde.

Were these tea leaves 'special Colombian' tea leaves by any chance?

How's your clubs search for a manager going? And while your boys are looking for a manager, perhaps you could have a look for your accounts too.

Somethings happened this week for sure. He body language and tone seems a little bit downbeat not his usual characteristic self.

I bet he was all set to leave after Palace but then got a call from Chansiri enquiring about availability. On realising that pretty much his only alternative was that shitshow, he reluctantly decided he has no choice but to stay

Fraid thats like us all. Its hurting him and you can definitely see it. Praying for his sake and ours we get decent win tomorrow. 100% and regardless of what he just said there- he will be resting nobody. Simple as it's an absolutely must win.

I actually think if he doesn't get a win he might walk or be sacked. Hope not but he seems extremely down beat and almost counting down his last days

Seemed a bit down without the usual fire in his eyes, but hopefully he's just feeling a bit dejected like the rest of us, rather than anything deeper. You'd have to say a win is fairly imperative for the sake of squad morale and the immediate future.

I don't care care how we get that win either. Even if we have to shithouse it.

He has been downbeat for a while like the rest of us, so it is hard to say.

I think if he really wanted out he would have gone already.

I think he was just tired, probably sleepless nights like a lot of managers they start the season in good form then the bags start to appear round the eyes, (check out Steve Bruce he always looks knackered!) not sure he's quite got to that stage yet! I thought he was quite philosophical overall, he knows his jobs on the line and his pride.

He seems fairly measured for me. I don't see him as particularly downbeat, considering how dreadful we've been. You're going to be depressed about how bad it is. It's clear there are issues behind the scenes, unsurprisingly with our run, but I didn't pick up any particular anger or upset. Every manager has disagreements with their chairman in a transfer window. He won't get all he wants but he'd be the first person to tell you that managers always want more than they can get.

I was expecting him to say he had held positive talks with the club. It doesn't seem like they were good discussions and it would appear there is zero progress on transfers as well.

Is it just me that thinks it’s only a matter of time before he leaves? I really believe he resigned after palace, the club have persuaded him to stay but if his heart/heads not on he won’t be here much longer. A good run of results would give everyone a lift, including us, I just can’t see it with the atmosphere surrounding the club.

Furlough must be hitting you pretty hard

If I were you I’d steer clear of any brew from that batch of leaves.

Keith Curle, more likely to be Keith Chegwin!

Probably downbeat as he promised to cover Moose's repair bill if he scores a hat trick tomorrow.

Could it be that he wants to leave but doesn't want to resign for financial reasons....maybe he is holding out to be sacked?

Not sure about that, Wilder doesn't seem like that sort of person.

He doesn’t exactly inspire confidence with his press conferences, does he? He shows no fight or desire to turn things around.

True thats the down part. Although I am waiting for the full press conference to be released to fully judge his mood at the moment.
