We let Dogs in at The Happy Crab. We just don't let them back out again.

What did we do before the internet ?

29000 blades wanting a drink 2000 porkies wanting a drink think they will be back of the cue ,

Arriving in tawn around 1.30 in the afternoon
Hope somewhere is fuckin open
Won’t be that frog and parrot place after last time I was home though :(

Probably Heely / Ches Rd for me

Will be somewhere in the city centre for us. I wouldn't even consider London Road, it'll be absolutely fucking rammed.

I was in the Beer Engine before the Bolton ‘game’ and they had free tickets on the bar that you need to get in to the pub before the derby. No ticket, no entry.

They may have some left now if you pop in.

For a home game? I can't see that, unless it's to keep the pigs out.

It’s more for the fact that for the bouncing day game the clubhouse ended up in a right mess, i walked in around 15 mins after full time and you’d have thought it was 1982 and Milwall,Chelsea,West Ham,Leeds,Cardiff,Man U, Argentina, the SAS, Brixton and toxteth had been having a drink in there.

Any pub on the tram route from S6 would be favourite, particularly with Blades spilling out onto the pavements provoking SYP to enact their slick ambush prevention techniques, that were so successful last September :)

The Cricketers is ticket only too. Was planning on heading up London Road (starting in the Beer Engine), but might stay in town judging by this thread!

I think it'll be London Road for us. I assume SYP are putting up barricades and all sorts to protect the Pigs, so getting down Bramall Lane from town, to the South Stand, will be impossible.

This ticket only thing SYPD are enforcing is only going to see more United milling around on the streets. They’re trying to force pubs to stop over spilling onto the streets, it’ll cause loads of people to be roaming around or heading towards town.

Anywhere in the city centre considered off limits to Blades, apart from West St? Looks like I'll be having a couple of early ones in town, maybe pubs by the Crucible or bottom of Division St. Bankers Draft and Mulberry should be Blades I imagine. Their lot may be down Kelham Island as well as West St.

Plastic pint pots too on London Road (not sure if all pubs, but heard from someone who works in one they'd been advised to do so).

Definitely going to head elsewhere. Can't get in half the pubs because of tickets, and I'm not particularly keen on beer served in plastic.

I started off in the Copthorne about 4pm, which was fine, easy to get served. Then walked into town to meet a mate in the Roebuck, which was packed full of young lads wearing Stone Island and no colours in sight. It took me a bit of time to work out that most were friendly. Lots of cops on Arundel Gate, included mounted police, so we nipped off to the Globe, which was empty except for students and a few fans, so we had a couple in there. Then on to the Sentinal, where it was also surpisingly easy to get served. Post match I decided to head to my brother's place high up on the Lansdowne, which has a birds eye view of London Rd. Sainsbury's weren't serving alcohol, but the pubs were open. But when we went down onto London Rd about 11 it was deserted - any pubs that were open had locked their doors. Managed to get in the Turkish Club opposite the Cremorne which was full of Blades, but the atmosphere on London Rd was dead overall. I wonder if the plod had told the landlords to only let people out and not let any more in? ALthough I'm sure many had had a skinful pre-match and the result wasn't really one to celebrate.

I went to the Rutland and found the atmosphere to be pleasant and convivial until 4 stunned mutants from West Yorkshire turned up
