Superb backing from the fans; disinterested chairman, average manager and ordinary players, but the support from the Blades was fantastic.

Players, managers, chairman will come and go but we are the club and we're a fucking credit to it! UTB!

PS should be "fans" ;)

There were signs of some of the gallows humour and the full Sheffield United chant was going.

Thank goodness for our support. Sheffield's best since 1889.

Couldn't go as we were at the office Chistmas do. Unfortunately being updated with the scores by a gleeful Leeds fan. We left early :(

Got to agree. I thought the backing was excellent last night and in the second half it spurred the team on to dominate the game. Unfortunately we got caught by a sucker punch at a time when it is was looking like there could only be one winner. Us.

C'est la vie. Roll on Tuesday

I thought the support was okay, to me the passion is slowly being sucked out of the Lane with the slow death of this football team. Bramall lane can make the hairs go up on the back of your neck when it really gets going but the days of being a fortress are a long way behind us.

I was actually disappointed that the crowd didn't vent their frustrations on the chairman and his antics, apathy will just support the slide towards mid table.

i've been critical of the fans of late but thought they were good yesterday.. 'lions supporting donkeys' as my villa mate put it

Well said that man. The koo was especially good and tried to get behind the boys

Good old Koo. She's looked after herself since her goofy Andy days and it's good to know she's still putting it out there.

Well I would..! MILF-tastic..!!

Praise for the fan's support.... that might be right soon if they don't improve....!

Either a bit late or very, very early. Did they all wear those silly hats you get out of crackers?;)
:) No we didn't and it was a bit late. Accountancy firm, decided to have it after the January deadline when all tax returns had been filed. I should also add, that ten years ago, even five I'd have been at the Lane. The enthusiasm is dripping away drop by drop.

Did anyone else see the bloke with a hoodie and NHS glasses bellowing to himself after the game? A Block, South Stand.

Totally on his own, no SUFC board member in earshot, he shouted curses about McCabe for a good ten minutes.

He happened to leave in the same direction as me and he carried on outside, stopping for a moment by the statues to yell "CUNT!" at the top of his voice.

It was like a piece of performance art. :)

I thought MetalBlade had stopped going?!

Sorry, but for all the players that we have sold we still have a team/squad that is good enough to be pushing for the 2 top places. So the blame must come back to Danny Wilson, who picks the players, sets the tactics and hopefully motivates the players to go out and perform and he obviously hasn't been doing this very well recently. Yeah we sold Blackman but we bought Murphy, supposedly highly rated in Spl, Higbot, Robson & Forte, all players that are good enough to get us out of this division but DW is unable to get this squad winning games. I am nota great one for changing the manager but unless we get a new shot of energy this season is over.

I'd happily see him sacked, but it would just get McCabe off the hook for a few more months.

And I don't think the players are good enough - either way.

UTB

The crowd were fantastic at the start of the second half. We then started playing some good stuff.

Coincidence?

nah we dont. we have crap. an entire squad of crap. that said, i think wilson has to go soon. what it will achieve ive no idea. he'll only get replaced by another stooge. actually better to wait til the end of the season, cos who the hell would come in now? at least at the end of the season mcclown wont have an excuse to not bring in a proper manager. not that that means he will bring in a proper manager, but you live in hope. do it now, an it will definitely be some bum who we will then end up stuck with for another 2 years.

I thought the crowd was great until they scored. After that it was hard going. So are we blaming fans for the poor first half now?

always blame the fans.

too quiet.

too loud.

not hit our target of 40,000 every week, so we need to sell a player.

We were also fantastic at the start of the first, and it was all Cov first 20 mins!

We played good stuff once Forte came on and moved around creating gaps in the defence.

Have to say, that's the loudest the Kop has been for quite some time, was great

So after all today's results are in, the table is just one point worse, with Swindon getting a draw, than it was before we played. SO..... onwards and sideways then. :) Bring on Crawley.

That just means we missed a good opportunity to make some ground up.

She needs a haircut. No woman of that age should have hair that long. Urgh! ;)
