True and with an ageing squad and players contracts coming to an end we will need a few . MEGA MONEY NEEDED .We may pick up the odd player from England but we need to look to Europe and South American, Asia. Brighton have done this perfectly and picked up some great players and is something we need to replicate. You will only last so long in the premier league by setting your sights on Sunderland or championship players.
Let people do what they wantWhy can't people post this kind of **** when /if we are mathematically promoted. It's as stupid as posting who would we sell if we get relegated. It's January. Absolutely ANYTHING can and may well happen between now and May. I just want to get to the end of the window intact. Then think about the next game.
thisViktor Gyökeres if we can afford him, should we go up.
Pukki for the striker. I’m also throwing Phil Jones in for an old head defender, just like why we brought Jags in.
A crock in a frock, if you will. He’d fit in with our policy of only buying crocks so it’s a ‘yes’ from me.
If the takeover goes through and Ipswich stay down we could maybe go after ladapo. Would they sell to a promotion rival though?I'm going to balance this thread out in the football gods eyes and say...
IFFFF we get relegated this season, I think we should look to be bringing back Gary Madine who could definitely do a job for us in league 1
Semenyo (I think that's how you spell it) from Bristol City.Stewart for Sunderland looks good too or Morris for Luton
Let’s learn from the past and spread our bets rather than 1x £20m striker. My shopping list would be:
Macauley Langstaff - £2-3m
Sam Surridge - £7m
Ben Breteton-Diaz - £12m
Salomon Rondon - Free
Add in Brewster and McBurnie and that’s a solid strikeforce imo, unfortunately time to let go of sharp to retirement, maybe give Jebbison a top championship loan for the first half of the season
Gyokeres will go to any team above relegation prospects unfortunately, £18m price tag touted
Agreed, that list is very unimaginative and 2nd rate. Kind of strikers warnock would sign to take the pressure off himself to back a genuine talent and take the team up a level.I'd rather pay Cov what they want for Gyokeres, who might have what it takes to be good enough, rather than a scatter gun approach of varying levels of shit
Lewis O'Brien and Gyokores would be fantastic signings. Would also like Illias Chair and Tommy Doyle back on loan.Nottingham Forest spent the GDP of a small country and still didn't get a proven PL centre forward.
Gyokores would be a very good signing, outside of that any premier league strikers would be a toxic mix of probably being too mediocre and DEFINITELY too expensive.
Emmanuel Dennis at a stretch but god knows how much forest are paying, Brereton Diaz would cost a metric fuck tonne for a player who's not necessarily any better than Mcburnie.
Sign someone from abroad, if the club is to move forward the foreign scouting and recruitment set up will have to be grow and be tested at some point.
Long term replacements for fleck and (Lewis O'Brien?, still a very good age) and left centre back are the priority, as well as a back up for Norwood (Seri looked very good for Hull) and a back up for N'Diaye.
I don’t rate himWhen Everton get relegated... DCL
I honestly think DCL is another Dele Ali. His heart just doesn’t seem to be in itWhen Everton get relegated... DCL
