As the season comes to an end and with the recent news of a potential signing popping up before the final whistle of this season has been blown, my thoughts go to next season and who, potentially, Wilder and Knill will have their eyes on?

Presumably W&K's current philosophy of getting the best players from our competitors and a few hidden gems will continue. Having been lost in the L1 wilderness, for what feels like a lifetime and with the supposed 'improvement of the Championship' in our absence... I'm in the dark as to who our potential picks are. I suspect 12M for the likes of Rhodes is just cloud cuckoo and I don't think Wilder would go for this type of business, even if he could. So if it's not going to be the 'big boys', who from mid - low table clubs, L1 & L2 (are there any gems left after the last couple of windows?) and perhaps those relegated from the Prem. could UTD be in the market for?

Rumours are there is a hidden gem in S70 ;)

Will be very surprised if CW & AK don't already know exactly who they want.

Didn't AK say recently that they had been planning since January? I am sure I read that or heard it in an interview. If they move as quickly as they did when they first arrived, we will soon know.

Sounds about right and if yesterdays news is anything to go by, then yes, they're already on it.

Very strong player, a real handful

On a free transfer. He's been on fire this year, and he's definitely worth consideration now he's got himself fit and quick.

As we probably won't be starting with wingers initially, he'd be very ideal - plays on both sides and is very promising but wouldn't need to be a guaranteed starter to sign for us.

Wouldn't surprise me to see us go for Mark Marshall either, for the same reasons, although he's a bit older.

Up front I think Lewis Grabban and John Marquis are likely targets, although now we're signing Evans (!) I think any other striker might be someone with pace and trickery. Danny Ward could still be an option.

Sign the best free transfers available to us, there seems to be a lot mentioned / rumoured. From Etheridge/Mcluaghlan/Meredith/Marshall etc.

Then bring in 4 players on decent fee's like Maddison/Ricky Holmes/ A centre half / Danny Ward

And of course Ched

Gregory not in with a shout? Blade, Champ experience, potential opportunity to weaken an opponent...

Scowen and Watkins from Barnsley are both out of contract in the summer, might be able to get one/both on free transfers. Neither would break the bank and both have had a decent season in the championship.

If we're bringing back old players who did well for us in League One years ago, Nick Blackman should be brought back for his penalties alone.

And, Dean Hammond is without a club.

What's Kevin McDonald up to?

Hopefully scoring against Wednesday on the last game of the season to stop them getting into the play offs! It looks likely that the Pigs will make the top 6 though now, sadly.

Tom Adeyemi, midfielder, 25, on loan at Rotherham from Cardiff - wouldn't be a bad signing to bolster midfield IMO

Agreed. He's definitely been one of Rotherham's best 2/3 players, he's a good age and a decent athlete. We could do with someone like him. We were trying to sign him back in August from Cardiff along with Moore. Maybe we could go back in for him, but Morsy seems more likely based on the rumours.

Where's the Morsy rumours started again!? Not seen anything on him for a while?
