is that a 5-2-2-1? I really like that idea, Bogle is a good idea at RM/RAM, although could potentially try Brewster as more of a RW? One thing i would change is putting Didzy as the sole striker... his link up play could be lethal for oncoming players

Granted he's not been in game we were expected to have the ball in. But he's literally offered nothing. No runs, no attempts, no pressing. Absolutely jack squat. As it looks ATM he looks massively out of his depth. Sideline him and ease him into it.
I’d go with that but might be tempted to start Sharp unless Rhian has trained like a man possessed !!
Good shout I feel like with McGoldrick in the number 10 and Burke's speed up front we have more chance of Sharp getting the tap ins thats hes mastered.
I’d go with this. No point breaking up Brewster/ Didzy yet. Need to get an understanding that will only come with game time. We can’t judge Brewster vs Liverpool, City, Chelsea but we can in the next few.
This looks like our best 11, giving Brewster the benefit for now. Cannot understand the people, not wanting to play McGoldrick.
Quite a few going for a midfielder (Ampadu) in the back 3? (In fact everyone!) The same mistake CW made. Don’t complicate things, make your choice it’s ether Robinson or Jags, Stevens can go back to his best position.
I dont really understand the obsession with Burke from posters on here. Its clear he's all pace and no end product to not just fans watching him but to the coaching staff of every club he's ever been at. We've never relied on pace up top in all the years under Wilder. Its that slick defence splitting groove that we need to get back.
On the one hand I agree but with his pace comes (in my mind) the hope that he can be used as an outlet that carries a threat or at least hold the ball up. Wilder seems fascinated with fast players (see also Zivkovic) but the ones we can afford are technically limited.
Not sure it’s a fascination, more of a different option, given that most of our other strikers genuinely lack pace. It’s a worry for oppo defenders.
Totally agree, I just think being pragmatic about it we have spent a lot of games chasing after the ball. Part of the reason I don’t advocate starting Burke is that I’d sooner we get back to that good way of playing, but I recognise that if we’re chasing the game, there’s a role for Burke.
I started replying the other day but I had a fairly busy week at work in the end. I can’t dig out replays of all his games, so all I can answer for that is that I’ve seen bits and pieces with my own eyes of the two of them linking up in the short time they’ve spent on the pitch. I’ve probably watched Brewster more than any other player these past few games. I know from having seen them at their best that their styles can complement each other. And I know the two are naturally very friendly, which isn’t everything but does help. That’s it basically. He’s only played a few games so the body of evidence isn’t big enough, but I know my own eyes.So nowt then.

We’ll see. The reality is I don’t think anyone has watched enough of him to decide either way, good or bad. We all have our various ways of detecting or little things that we look out for, but the reality is we’ve had three games in a row where we’ve been comprehensively outplayed. It’s rare you’ll see the best of a young, goal-poaching striker in those.You know much.
