Barring a couple IMO, one thing's for sure is that they are all possible outgoings!!! Let's hope for a few positive incomings!!:)

Love the AV Gaz, I know you've had it ages but just had to comment on it.

Still not sure on Clarke, he's a lazy arse so I'm not convinced he'll work hard enough to play upfront on his own, but I'm happy to take the collectives opinion that he's a good player. I also don't see the point of buy anyone who can't make it at Championship level which he also falls into unfortunately IMHO. Obviously all the above is redudant if we have the option to take on loan without making the move perm.

We can only have 3-4 otherwise with Coady we're outside those we can use in a matchday squad.
So would that be your 4? 2 forwards and a CB and full back.
If so we need a midfielder who can learn to come deep and collect the ball from the centre halves.

" I don't think for a minute that throwing money about is the way to become successful "
There's some thing undeniably Scottish about that statement don't you think.....;)

We could do with a couple new CB's and a winger on each side. Couple of strikers would be handy and two central midfielders too. If we could get 2 attacking fullbacks and a keeper that would also be desirable.

From what I've seen and heard of Flo, he could be the complete CM, at this level and the next one. He'll need time to settle, of course, just like the majority of players. I'm sure our loyal fans will allow him, say..............six games.

If spending money wasn't the way to achieve succeess, Accrington Stanley would be in the Champions League.

Anybody who even vaguely knows where the fecking net is, would be a start.

Is Long not good enough?

I saw someone on here mentioned swapping Cunningham from Bristol City for Hill. I understand Cunningham is an attacking full back. This would be good option.

Also if we get Wilson and Clarke, Wilson can play from the left up top and join in with Clarke.

A midfielder with a good engine and like what Bob said has the brains to come back and give the defence options. Somone like the pigs Semedo

A centre back would be good cover especially if we lose Hill.

Lastly - tell McMahon to stop being a cock

I remember that always being the criteria when we were a division higher looking to get into the Prem, but we only managed it once in 17 years. Let's just get out of this division first before we become marooned down here.

It seems I am alone in thinking Leon Clarke would not be a good signing then. Wilson, yes I can see the attraction, good young talent with pace and goals. From what I have seen of Clarke however, I really don't rate him and think it would not be a long term solution to our extreme problems up front. For what we'd pay for him, wages and fee, I think there are many better options out there personally. I'd love to be proven wrong if we did sign him though, ofcourse.

Can't argue with Clarke's goal record at this level. Whether he could play this system is another matter, he's definitely one player suited to 2 man attack.

You are not alone

One of the outgoings confirmed - Elliott Whitehouse has joined York on an initial month's loan.

Cressy connection?

I was chatting to a mate of his at a barbecue in York a couple of weekends ago*. Just can't stop playing, even though he needs all sorts of injections post match now. Meant to be a thoroughly nice bloke.
