According to a report in the Coventry Telegraph, Newcastle United striker Adam Armstrong will be made available for loan yet again next season.

Armstrong is regarded as one of Newcastle’s brightest prospects, but Rafael Benitez does not see a place for the youngster in his starting line-up at St. James’ Park currently.

The 19-year-old has been out on loan at Barnsley this season, after spending last term with Coventry City on a temporary move.

He's only 20 and showed great potential at Cov. If we were interested, I wouldn't have a problem with it. I think we should be 'looking at' any player who's available and potentially good enough.

I'm no expert on Armstrong but my view is that he is similar to Billy and in my view we need pace and power alongside Billy, and to be fair Ched is that. Ok, he isn't blessed with Michael Owen pace but Ched is still faster than many opposing defenders. If we do sign another forward I'd it to be someone rapid like what Steve Kabba provided in his spell. We do still lack that blistering pace either in the starting eleven or coming off the bench.

Armstrong fact. Drank shots and sang karaoke with him and his mate in Boogies karaoke bar in pafos in sept 2013 or 14. (He was out injured at the time)
