FA Cup round 2 (IF we beat Crewe and IF we got a home draw.....)

Have Utd ever had this many home games in a row before??

One or two statto's on here that could fill in the blanks for ya Blade. For me and I think many like me, its great that we play so often. Keeps the players busy and the fans entertained and how. Talking of which, how did Crewe get away with a 0-0 ? If only we had a capable striker...

Furthermore, I reckon United have to play ten games starting with Donny on Saturday and ending with Scunny

on 28th of December three of which may involve extra time; that's ten games in 44 days. It looks as if every

squad player may get a game in this period.

Starting from the replay against Crewe,we could also have 8 out of the next 10 games at home before the new year.

Some people may find this crackers but when we go into the new year,if we get through to the 3rd round of the Fa Cup and get another home tie,get to the JPT area final and get the first leg at home then get to the 4th round of the Fa Cup get another home tie, plus, get to the semi of the league cup:D.........wait for it.............we could have 14 out of the next 18 games at home all up to the Swindon game:cool:Alternatively we could have 9 out of the next 18 at home which would be pretty normal:D

We've not had that many home games so far this year, I swear it feels like we are away every week at the moment.

Another interesting(?) fact is that we will play four consecutive games in 4 different comeptitions:

28/10 MK Dons (A) LC
1/11 Barnsley H League
8/11 Crewe A FA Cup
12/11 Walsall A piss poor trophy

Don't think that has ever happened before. I also don't think we have ever been in 3 cup competions at the same time.

I think you're right.

Was hoping to catch you out with either the Anglo-Italian cup in the mid 90's or the Full Members cup in the mid to late 80's:)

This is a golden age for the club.

Given this is only the 2nd time in 40 years we've still been in the League Cup after the FA Cup has begun for us (2002-3 being the other time), I think this must be right.

Win all 3 and then I will be impressed. Cup tarts!

We also were still in the League Cup in 1961-62 when the FA Cup started; being knocked out by Blackpool in a quarter final replay on 27th March. As we were knocked out of the FA Cup quarter final by Burnley on 10th March, I believe that is the only season we were knocked out of the League Cup after being knocked out of the FA Cup.

Best I could do was 3 different competitions in a row

81-2

21/8 Chesterfield A Group Cup
29/8 Hereford H league
1/9 York H LC

82/3

21/8 Lincoln A FL Trophy
28/8 Portsmouth A League
31/8 Hull H LC

85/6

8/10 Luton A LC
12/10 Grimsby A League
16/10 Leeds A FMC

02/03

4/1 Cheltenham H FAC
8/1 Liverpool H LC
13/1 Posrtmouth A league

and
17/1 SWFC H league
21/1 Liverpool A LC
25/1 Ipswich H FAC

It's the first time we've done four in a row.

It's rare - although Bradford did it two seasons ago on their way to the League Cup final.

There's no way of being in five national (i.e. not local, not international) competitions simultaneously - the Anglo-Scottish Cup folded before the Full Members Cup (aka JPT) started, the Anglo-Italian Cup was for second tier teams and Zenith Data Systems/Simod Cup was for first and second tier teams so it wasn't possible to play in these and the JPT - so four is the limit.

If you won the Champions League and got relegated from the Premier League in the same season, then won the Champions League again while getting relegated from the Championship, could you stretch it to six by adding CL and World Club Championship or whatever that's called these days?

We can win 5 trophies in 2015! Community Shield the 5th one!
