A few random thoughts -
Ramsdale OK shot stopper but seems nervous on crosses and kicking is unpredictable.
Baldock Lots of effort, gets forward well but crosses let him down and relies on his speed to recover which leads him to overcommit.
Basham Did a job defensively but did not add much going forward.
Egan Fairly solid all game, not sure why he is not a force on attacking corners.
Bryan Doing OK defensively, offers little going forward but there seems no better option right now.
Lowe Too eager to stick his foot in when he has no chance for the ball, needs to make better choices.
Osborn Seemed steadier then Lowe and added more control going forward.
Fleck Did OK but seems to be taking the easy option or forcing a pass that is not on.
Berg Does not seem to be the fit for CM in our system, defense is not his strength, much better at RCM.
Lundstram Tries going forward but does not seem committed to defence, tracks players but eases off, looses attention as the ball moves away.
Norwood His strength came when he had two overlapping CBs creating width and gaps, he is not suited to a short passing tight game.
McBurnie Thought he was quite good and worked hard throughout, set up Burke, sadly to no good effect.
Burke Was always a threat but, unfortunately, could not get his feet together when it counted, a useful out but not sure he should be a starter.
Brewster Showed effort and willingness to take a chance, perhaps time to give him a start now he is getting used to the system.
In general would expect Ampadu and Stevens to come back into the starting team and Brewster to start ahead of Burke; Lundstram and Lowe on the bench with Jags and Sharp dropping out.
When in the Championship a few years back, I said our team was too good to go down….. But, if we can stop the injury wave and get a consistent team I do think we have a shot at finishing 17th. Not a great ambition, just the best we can do with how we are performing.
