Neither goal from Saturday was a CH mistake
Goalkeeper at fault for second
Both down Brayford's side - which indicates a combi of Coutts and/or Brayford cuipable too

Admit that I don't have much confidence with our central defensive paring on the basis that we are so weak in the air that chances will fall to the opposition from the knock downs that we don't clear effectively enough

I think BOTH goals on Tuesday & Saturday included keeper error.

I think the fact that Turner was around 6 yards out of position out of position for the 2nd goal would absolve Brayford and Coutts from any blame

As for the first...didn't it start from Basham giving away a stupid free kick in the first instance ? But again, Turner was exposed at his near post as he appeared to get his angles wrong

you and every other Blade has to accept (so we are led to believe) that it wasn't a footballing decision to get rid of Butler.
we should also accept that Collins is not that good - whether you agree or disagree, Collins was a footballing decision according to NC which "may" have been influenced by the original Butler problem.

For me, we haven't solved that problem of CH - particularly Mceverly, not so much Basham.

We have 1 fit specialist CH at the club..........Collins, who isn't going to play

Over the last two games we have missed the other specialist centre half (Kennedy) and Basham in midfield. It is no surprise that by fasr our best league performance of the season at the league leaders came when these two were playing in those positions (also help by Baxter going off early and being replaced by a midfielder who was prepared to run beyond the lone forward)

There simply was no positives from Saturday, our back four looked very venerable everytime Fleetwood attacked. No matter how well I see Basham, McEverly and Harris play I always know they will make one error.

We don't suit 4-4-2 at all, Doyle is a complete liability its like he doesn't think of the consequences before he hacks someone down. Baxter needs to be in the free role if he is to start. Two upfront took space away from Done to run into, may be we should have a look at him on the right cutting in? With Murphy on the left and Davies down the middle.

And what game changing options did we have on the bench? We haven't got a promotion side at all in my opinion.

Agree totally about midfield getting beyond the forward. The older ones among us should well remember Terry Mac and Ray Kennedy of L'pool. They were fabulous examples of midfielders getting beyond the forwards but making late, intelligent runs - the difference with L'pool, is they always played with 2 forwards ! - result: sign of a good team. Not sure about others but I saw the same in Connor Coady last year - great example of a young footballer being schooled the right way. Take a touch and LOOK FORWARD first. He also knew how to time runs into space............oh dear, we do miss him!

Really disappointed in McE's form of late. A couple of months ago [apart from a tendency to jump in] he looked very solid, particularly so away from home. It's been a real downturn in form over the last 6 - 8 games - very hit and miss.

and the reason is simple - absolutely ZERO competition for his position.
his standards have slipped because he is a left back by design and complacency has taken over. Probably thinks playing CH is easy, it is not and his mistakes are getting worse each week. It is only the crap opposition that is failing to take better advantage.

Do I hear the call for.............Collins?????

Not sure about that but I am disappointed in the downturn in his form. A few months back he and Basham looked very solid and for a few games I thought we'd found the pairing [least for this league]. Very flakey now though - not exactly what you want at CH.

Are you a Collins supporter?
