To be fair, the pies do seem to have meat in them instead of small potato pieces and flecks of a brown "substance" but they vary wildly from warm to cooked for three weeks.

In the interests of research, I purchased a steak pie on Tuesday to verify this.

I was surprised to see, the one I had lacked the large chunks of meat I'd previously experienced earlier in the season. It still however had an acceptable level of meat.

The official line is: 27% Beef

This is the second largest ingredient behind water.

The only Pukka Pies related statistics I can find described is 8% meat content.

What this all means I don't know, but I was hungry
