Record number could be 1, if we've never had any before (I only read the title).

We had some players test positive post lockdown, didn't we? There were two who got in in Greece iirc.

a number of, would read as at least 3 to me. They could all be youth players obviously.

18 positive tests apparantly. Its a fkin awful virus, I had it back in Nov,
I possibly had it in April (that was the first time I started getting the tiredness) never had any symptoms which was why I disputed I'd had it for 6 months before saying 'maybe'. Last week was the end of the latest bout of tiredness, can feel ok until put the body under pressure then the energy just disappears. Whatever happens from here on in, if the players end up in the same way we are finished.

Sorry to hear that mate. My wife had symptoms in March but wasn't tested either, then she got the symptoms again in Nov and was tested positive.
Such an awful virus.

This is far more important that football and our piss poor attempt to stay in the prem.

18 through out the league.

Who would have thought that travelling the length and breadth of the country, and coming into close contact with many people on a daily basis, could have resulted in this?

Whoever it is, I hope they're ok. The Premier League really need to get a grip of this, as it could well spiral over the next week, or so.

Also why the hell does this match get played - member of the 1st team squad tests positive, he will have trained with other players whilst potentially carrying it.

This could ensure that both us and Burnley can't fulfil fixtures further down the line.

People are not social distancing as a country we need to get a grip I went for a walk this morning there were hundreds of families out sledging and not keeping their distance from one another.
So to expect retards footballer to do it when it’s Christmas party time is frankly impossible

Fingers crossed that the guys are ok.

With our luck atm it’s Egan and Basham who are out.

United not requested postponement, to me it could be two reason...

1) it’s no first team regulars/key players

2) they are sending a message to the rest of the league. That they don’t need a big squad and are keeping with the view the club has on the 5 substitute rule etc

Ramsdale, Brewster, Burke, moose, ampadu. Apparently all on the pitch at Burnley, so presumably not them.

odds increasing it’s one of our competent defenders...

Sharp, Jagielka & McBurnie not in matchday squad. Not sure whether McBurnie is injured?
Only named 7 subs so could be Rodwell as well.

Moore, sharp, jagielka.

Surely jags and sharp would otherwise be on the bench and don't the three of them golf together?

Premier League clubs are reportedly discussing having a two-week break in January due to fears that rising Covid-19 cases could cause fixture chaos
