How about 41/42 years ago? Either January '83 or December '84.

Portsmouth fans arriving at Sheffield station (lovely Berghaus Ice Cap btw).

Youthful exuberance on Furnival Street, running towards Furnival Gate.

Prosinecki hardly ran around but he ran the show in the middle, the ball seemed to stick to his left foot and our players found it difficult to be near him.
My son's 2nd match. Princess Margaret died that day.
I thought no 8 Prosinecki was outstanding that day.

Yes, he was a class player despite that he didnt run a lot.

If I recall correctly, he smoked 20 a day too!

My other memories of that game was Paul Furlong looking excellent, Nick Montgomery scoring a decent goal from outside the box (?) and Keith Curle lifting a young Peter Crouch off the ground with his neck.

Yes, Keith Curle used a lot of niggly tactics to unsettle Crouch.

Can anyone remember the 0-0 we played when they were supposed to be crowned champions? Think Ball was manager...I'm sure saw another game after that when Jimmy Gillligan scored a belter and then got sent off?

The 0-0 was in 1986. They were pushing for promotion and we held them. That contributed to Wimbledon going up instead of them.

Crouch had to stoop for the opening goal, scored at Lane end after Portsmouth opted to attack Lane end first.

Never mind Prosinecki, Paul Furlong was the real 🐐

M. Clattenburg referee, wonder what happened to him…

Recall Nigel Quashie celebrating his equaliser at the Kop end by running in front of the fans all the way to the corner then carried on down the south stand. Wondering when the cunt was gonna stop.

Portsmouth 6.57 not to be underestimated. Got top side of us that day - a very rare occurrence may I add.

I recall someone telling me she was staying in the same hotel as the Portsmouth team and realised it when spotting Dave Beasant at reception.

Nothing will ever top the match with four sendings off around 1986. Can clearly remember Peter Beagrie's mugshot appearing on the main BBC news that night.

Blades goals from the 4-3 game starting at 5:15

There were highlights that season??????

My memories of 01 02

Day before season Warnock saying he was unleashing Pesky and Asaba on the league (top scorer had under 10)

5 games in with no wins and 5 draws warnock said "dunno why fans are moaning if we draw every game we are unbeaten and will stay up

Ah Nigel Quashie, relegated from the top division with 4 different clubs. I reckon there are 3 former blades with the same dubious record
