I'd pretty keep everyone in contract, which I think means

Ramsdale / Fodderingham
Bogle / Baldock
RND / Lowe / Stevens
Egan / Basham / JOC/ Robinson
Berge / Osborn / Norwood / Fleck / L Freeman
Sharp / Didzy / Burke / McBurnie / Brewster

Plus the kids including Slater

Mooset is missing - I think he's done with us.

I suspect Berge and at least one other will go to fund strengthening of the squad and a couple more may be moved on like Stevens for example.

A decent manager will turn that into a competitive Championship squad.

The big weakness is the midfield. Bringing in a new midfield is a priority.

Sort the midfield out and I mean a complete refurb and we’ve got a chance next season.

Fans seem to assume we can replace our players with better ones immediately . Existing championship players will be snapped up by prem teams or champ teams with a bigger budget (fulham, wba, bournemouth). We will do well to keep current squad and compliment with JVW’s conveyor belt of talent from United World. As we know from Zivkovic, Restos they dont always work out. Need to keep the consistency and core of the team together for now, with a longer term rebuild.

Whilst Norwood of old has gone missing this season, he is proven to be the guy you dispose of when you hit the premier league, however he is the guy to get you there. I think he could be a valuable asset next season if the last 3 of his championship campaigns is anything to go by he is a definite starter.

add 3 CB/Midfield/CAM signings? - 27 players

Would we be happy with this?

McBurnie (so far) like marmite with Blades fans. Pretty even split.

Brewster, who hasn't scored yet, but has the majority vote of confidence

Ramsdale has gone up in my estimation since the first few months of the season. It was his confidence levels. Quite a lot of us fathomed that out at the time.

Stevens would be going for me. He's but a shadow of the man he was in the promotion season. Maybe harsh, as he's been a great player overall for this club. But he just doesn't seem to have the stamina and acceleration he used too. Also, the amount of possible goals he COULD have set up, if only he crossed the ball earlier this season alone are unbelievable (Baldock too is almost as bad for this). By the time he's able to get a cross off, the attacking momentum is lost. The opposition defence is set in place, anticipating the cross and invariably gets it clear or keep possession.

Norwood, pretty much like Stevens. Except he's lost his "Norwood ping" ability. Maybe its the PL Nike balls in contrast to the EFL Mitre balls .... Doesn't seem to affect McGoldrick though with his pings.
