Apologies this isn’t anything knew but I was interested in people’s opinions on what we should do with the budget .

Assuming our budget is relatively modest and there isn’t room for three Marquee attacking signings.

Would people prefer the spend to be on say (assuming the irk is right)

Maupay, Mcburnie and ravel Morrison or

Maupay, Callum Robinson and Madine?

It seems to me that, if we get the players we’re after
Plan A will be our usual method of attack, possession, overloads, overlapping CBs, creating top quality chances etc
Plan B will be fast incisive breaks (rather than hoofing it up to the big man) which is where players like Robinson, Ravel, Freeman etc will help us excel...
I think it’s quite exciting!

Maupay, Freeman and either Mcburnie or Robinson. In an ideal world, I'd steer clear of Morrison and Madine but depending on finances, might have to find a way to make one of them work.

McBurnie and Maupay are my two most wanted and I want both. After that, one of Freeman or Robinson, would prefer Freeman, and I’ve no problem with Morrison as a low cost low risk signing.

Its a no to Madine, I just don’t see him as a PL player at all.

To be honest, I just want to see Billy Sharp score a premier league goal in our colours. The lad has been fantastic for us since his return, scoring in the top league for his beloved Blades would mean the world to him.

I would love that too but we can’t let sentiment get in the way. Reminds me of Stan when we went up in 1990, I hope Billy proves me wrong but I wonder if the PL might be a step too far for him at this stage, certainly as a regular starter. Prove me wrong Billy, you’ve done it before.

Maupay, McBurnie, Robinson and Freeman at a push.
I’ve a feeling our budget is possibly bigger than mentioned and apart from that I’m greedy

That would be the ideal - would set us up for the next 5 or so years imo and at a minimum have resale value. Sensible as well as ambitious imo.

I was counting on freeman already being in to be fair.

Billy’s all round game has come on leaps and bounds over the last few years, I think he’s playing the best football of his career and will be just fine next season. I’m sure he’ll also have good competition which will kick him on even more.

We need proven PL players to make the step up, not championship also rans.

I am only joking , but they are the ones we’ve got at the moment
Did you not bother reading the question? 'who would you rather spend your money on' ?
You've answered something else entirely.

That’s what everyone said in league one

That’s what everyone said in the championship.

Keep them coming!

I am truly at a loss whenever this question comes up for the following reasons (based on their highlight clips as like most people I haven't scouted them in person):
McBurnie seems a floppy armed (he managed to control it this season more), gangly, workhorse.
Maupay not too different from Sharp, just younger- we really should be looking for 4 different options.
Adams fast but the majority of his goals come from buzzing around and picking up on others errors, these will be rare in the Prem.
Robinson half season wonder at Championship, ok we have to take risks to be able to afford anybody else's prized assets, it's a risk.
Morrison a risk has to be inexpensive.
Imagine scouting for Sharp or McGoldrick and looking at what they did last season then hearing they were signing for us, that would be exciting!

Edit: I posted my views on Carroll (no more of a risk than Morrison) and Mitrovic too expensive (86k/week it transpired) numerous times already.
