2 points out of a possible 9 against 3 very poor sides or even 5 points out of a possible 15 against 5 very poor sides. It not great at the moment why is it our performances are better against the better sides this season?? Reading we were good, WBA we were good as well only defensive mistakes cost us all 3 but they will be right up there but as for Swansea, Ipswich and donny we have got to be better against sides like this we have 2 more away games against poor sides coming up even though blackpool have made a good start they are still average. Just don't get it, its as though we sink to there level or just play the same level as the team we are playing good or bad. I was really pleased with the start up to the wendy game but its like something changed at half time against them and we haven't been the same since, we were better saturday but still nothing like we should be. Would like to here anyones thoughts???

This is not a moan really just looking at Cardiff and see what we should be doing.

As ever there's nothing between most of the teams in this Division. Newcastle failed to win either home game this week, Cardiff who you singled out had lost 4 out of 5 league games prior to last week's goal blitz and Forest and Palace are two of the form teams.

It's all about expectations. We have no divine right to be beating Ipswich or Donny and if we make the mistakes we have and miss the chances like we have we will get what we deserve.

Totally agree but its been this way since Noah was a lad so far as United are concerned. We always play well against the teams that are the better ones and perform poorly against the also rans. Look at the promotion season from 89-90 and how scuffed wins against Port Vale and Oxford (Mike ford OG sealing that one) made the difference.

81-82 we are flying and doing well then we get the cameras of MOTD (when it was a big deal to be on TV) and Colchester stick 5 past us.

How often to we go into a game thinking its in the bag only to be proved wrong once more as SUFC make a proverbial pigs ear of it?

Then again, its part of being a blade isn't it? We always crap it up when we should win. And we occasionally pull out a big win when the chips are down. Always expect the unexpected with United. :)

Ah well this is where my theory comes unpinned I'm afraid. :)

I never look forward to games any longer. I spend 90 minutes shitting myself, hoping that we get 3 points. Doesn't matter if I am there or in Meadowhall, I still hate the 90 minutes we are playing. Even if we are 4-0 up with 5 to go I still feel we could end up drawing.

Isn't that what being a blade is also about?

What get panic attacks of that period???

Happens to me though not quite excessive when we go above two goals advantage, but i may have to rethink that this season. :) its twice as worse if am not at lane.

i cant watch united i can watch any other team and not care but i need united to win every game :D

i suppose i do get the same feelings but it is worse when i think we should be winning this game rather than if i think we might lose this one. I do go to games thinking we can beat anyone but some games i fear the oppostion
