Cappy not strictly a direct answer to your question; but for the 5 match bundle of Portsmouth, Middlesbrough, Luton, Leeds & QPR, i'd penciled in that we needed at least 9 points. That would have us on 70 points after 35 games. In 2023, at the same stage of the season we had 67 points.

This is a crucial set of fixtures for the main contenders.

Leeds have to play Watford and Sunderland before coming to the Lane, followed by away trips to West Brom and Pompey who will both be scrapping for different reasons. If they are going to have any kind of wobble, this is the period when it happens.

Burnley and Sunderland on the other hand, have an easier run overall, so we can't afford to drop too many points. But I think it's going to be tough.

8 points would keep us at 2 points per game, which has generally kept us in 2nd spot. If I am being optimistic, we sneak a win v Boro, but we'll need to be so much better than we have been to do that.
