Might not be wise to put up another one of these threads today, as the forum seems to be in quite the pessimistic mood, but here goes...

Voting will close before the Middlesbrough game, but you can change yours at at anytime up until closing.

If you dare, state your predictions for each game, and I will put in an update after each match, showing who is doing well and who is out of the running for 5/5.

Our home league form to date has us on 2.33 PPG
Our away league form to date has us on 1.94 PPG
If you only took that into account, our next 5 fixtures could net us 10.87 points

My results predictions:

Middlesbrough (H) - W
Luton (A) - W
Leeds (H) - D
QPR (A) - D
Preston (H) - W

Pts - 11

Points: 13

Boro - D
Luton - W
Leeds - L
QPR - W
Preston - W

10pts from 5 games - which is still on track for 94 pts (ie 2pts a game for rest of season - 15 games). Which I reckon will be enough for 2nd & auto promotion.

Very tough to predict, but a difficult run if games. That Luton game will not be easy.

Middlesbrough (H) - D
Luton (A) - D
Leeds (H) - W
QPR (A) - D
Preston (H) - W

So, 9

Thanks Cappy

Sorry to be pessimistic but I'm going 7 pts

Middlesbrough - L
Luton - D
Leeds - L
QPR - W
Preston - W

Boro L
Luton D
Leeds L
QPR D
Preston W

We’ve just been battered by Hull, scraped past Derby and Portsmouth while playing absolute shite.
In for a rough few games if things continue.

10.
Looks like Burnley and Sunderland have a slightly easier set of 5 fixtures (Leeds have by far the hardest).
Keep the status quo after next 5 games and I would be very happy with that.
New players more time to settle in, hopefully Seriki back to fitness, then hopefully hitting some decent form for the last 10 games.
Expect it to go down to the wire and a rollercoaster.
Nervous as hell most of the time but actually quite enjoying it all.

Middlesbrough W
Luton W
Leeds D
QPR W
Preston W

H Middlesbrough D 1-1
A Luton D 0-0
H Leeds W 2-1
A QPR L 0-2
H Preston W 3-0

8 points out of a possible 15

Boro Draw
Luton Win
Leeds Lose
QPR Draw
Preston Win

Pts 8
As ever UTB !
Gets my vote as well !

I think we really need either (or both 😂) the QPR or Boro games to be W’s.

10 points would be great but hope and predict 8 points

This is a crucial set of fixtures for the main contenders.

Leeds have to play Watford and Sunderland before coming to the Lane, followed by away trips to West Brom and Pompey who will both be scrapping for different reasons. If they are going to have any kind of wobble, this is the period when it happens.

Burnley and Sunderland on the other hand, have an easier run overall, so we can't afford to drop too many points. But I think it's going to be tough.

8 points would keep us at 2 points per game, which has generally kept us in 2nd spot. If I am being optimistic, we sneak a win v Boro, but we'll need to be so much better than we have been to do that.

Boro - draw
Luton - win
Leeds - lose
QPR - draw
Preston - win

Middlesbrough - D

Luton - D

Leeds - L

QPR - D

Preston - W

6 points.

At some point the results are going to start marrying up to the performances.
We're up against better teams than Derby & Portsmouth now, so I don't think we'll keep getting away with being so poor.

Wilder seems lost and I'm not sure that he knows the way out of it.
There's little reason to think we'll buck the trend and beat Boro or Leeds.
We've been poor against the better teams.

He needs to go back to what was working reasonably well before the arrivals.
One of Souza / Choudhury, not both.
Pick O'Hare and Hamer together.
Pick Campbell at CF.
If there's a way of breaking up the awful Anel / Robinson partnership, explore it!

The new signings don't all have to play simultaneously.
The balance is way off.

Really hope I'm wrong and things suddenly click.

Although yesterday was utter dogshit and there are a lot of issues for the manager to deal with plus the issue of the manager himself

These threads are like crack for certain posters to display their negggy tendencies

Middlesbrough (H) - D
Luton (A) - W
Leeds (H) - W
QPR (A) - W
Preston (H) - W

I am equally torn by the results will follow our performance and will drop, but equally we have not put more than 20mins together for most of the season someone is gonna get a good hiding. Although I would settle for keep winning.

If we went up and the owners wanted us to stay up then it would need a change of style and personal anyway.

My predictions are always wrong so
Middlesbrough (H) - L
Luton (A) - L
Leeds (H) - L
QPR (A) - L
Preston (H) - L

I better be serious...

Middlesbrough (H) - L
Luton (A) - W
Leeds (H) - L
QPR (A) - D
Preston (H) - W

7pts

Feel we've been stumbling to too many wins. If new players can get up to speed hopefully grab 2 or 3 more pts.

I fear we are in for a bit of a tough month

Middlesbrough (H) - D
Luton (A) - W
Leeds (H) - L
QPR (A) - D
Preston (H) - W

8 points - not good

Boro - D
Luton - W
Leeds - L
QPR - W
Preston - W

10 points, which I’d be happy with tbh
