I have just discovered this pod. I am really enjoying it, a) because the hosts are knowledgeable and passionate about the Blades and b) I get an inordinate amount of childish enjoyment from hearing the Blades being discussed by two Americans, one of whom is called Chad (surely the most American name ever)!

I would recommend it to all Blades.

Any chance of a Bladespod/4 Blades/Red Half collaboration? That would be great!

I have also discovered these guys, loving it.

Also loving the nicknames, pretty sure Robinson has "Jackie long throw" but the addition of a "fucking Robinson" made me chuckle.

Enjoyed it…thanks. Their last minute goal was a dagger in the heart…just like the Huddersfield match.

However leaving the match I just kept thinking we have loads of matches left, plenty of time yet.
Our attack looks transformed now MGW and N’Dyieye have arrived. We now look like we’ll score at least 2 goals every match.
The problem is our defence looks very shaky and we look like we’ll concede a goal or 2 every match too.

Still feel very optimistic though and then there’s the fact that when Jokanovic won promotion with Fulham and Watford he started the season at those clubs near the bottom of the table. It seems that it’s the 2nd half of the season that Jokanovic‘s teams really improve and go on their long unbeaten runs.

Yes regards Basham he’s previously played as a centre back in a 2, he’s played midfield and also as right back. He’s so versatile but
He’s previously been very average in all 3 positions. However his standard massively improved under Wilder because he was played as part of 3 centre backs and his task was to move over to right back when and if Baldock was caught up field. Basham was also encouraged to get forward and burst into midfield.
Basham has fantastic stamina and under Wilder, Basham was kind of playing 3 positions all within the same game….a role designed to bring out the best in him.

I agree with your 2-0 prediction.
We‘re well overdue a clean sheet…also,think it will be more of a calm professional display.
Law of averages suggest Sharp is due a goal.
The only issue is that he’s getting on a bit and can he play 3 matches in 7 days?

There’s a chance Jukanovic might drop Sharp to the bench to give him a rest.
I think he might give either McBurnie or Brewster a chance to impress.
Also N’Dyieye looked injured against PNE and we haven’t heard how serious it is yet, Jokanovic seems to like to keep his injury news quite secret so the opposition are never sure who is playing, so maybe N’Dyieye might be rested too.
