Just been presented with a fucker of a dilemma.

Me mum and her partner have just booked a last minute ski holiday. Driving over to an apartment in the Alps which has ample room.

They've invited me to go with them.

They leave on Friday morning.

I've not been skiing abroad since I was 12 and I can't really afford to these days on my wage.

What on earth do I do?

So you can't afford to do it, can't do it, and missing the Derby because of it?

Tough one.

The result will still be the same whether you attend the match or not but with global warming that snow might not always be there.....:p

I've no idea what you should do.

If you miss the match you’re a right cunt.

Can I have your ticket?

Are they paying your way?

If so, find a friend and give them your ticket, or sell them it if they're a bad friend haha, they will owe you big time and you go on holiday and watch the match in the Alps with a nice continental beer.

If they want you to pay for yourself, you can't afford it on your wage, go to the match.

I've been on holiday with a bit less money than I actually needed. It's not fun.

Skiing every time! There will always be another match. Plead poverty and mum will pay. :)

It'd be travel and accommodation, I'd imagine, but ski passes and hire ain't cheap and even if they offer I wouldn't feel comfortable having them pay for it. It's two week after Xmas, after all.

Perhaps that's my answer.

It's me season ticket. That'd be a steal for someone!
You can afford a SC, but not to slide down a hill with 2 fencing boards strapped to your feet???
There's a slope ont rother valley you know.

Were you a decent skier when you was 12? If you aren't very good at skiing, then the chances are you won't really enjoy it.

You're better off getting to a decent level in one of the UK domes before heading to a resort.

I'm at a good level. It's only abroad I haven't been since I was 12, but I've been regularly to indoor slopes ever since then.

"Please, please help..."

I thought this was going to be a thread with some heartfealt message about how little Johnny was all set to see his first ever Steel City Derby but owing to a disaster he couldn't make it unless a kind-hearted Blade could divert to outer Mongolia to pick him up........but no, it's some posh bloke having a mental tussle over whether to go on a freebie ski-ing holiday with Mummy and Daddy......real world problems ladies and gentlemen.

You don't sit on about row T seat 180ish in the Westfield do you? There's a real posh twat up there who loves the sound of his own voice....
