I think you ought to chill out. Where in my post did I call you a liar? I'm merely stating that I dont believe that rumour. As I "dont know you well enough" I have every right to disbelieve whatever I like.

Ah the intelectual answer ,telling someone you dont believe them isnt actually calling them a liar ,I see .

I agree you have the right to believe whatever you want but "I'm merely stating that I dont believe that rumour" constitutes calling me a liar as far as I am concerned ,and I`d rather you didnt thanks .

It was not a rumour it was seen by a friend who works near the Lane ,if I had meant it to be a rumour I`d have put it in the rumour section but as I considered it fact I didnt
 
You don't know if he is there for another role, i doubt it will have anything to do with the 1st team Swollengland

Nothing "intellectual" about it. I stated that I dont believe it.....plain and simple.

I hadnt assumed in the first instance that you were the primary source (and youve just confirmed that youre not). Hence the reason I have not called you a liar and stated that I dont believe it instead. Choosing not to believe something doesnt constitute calling someone a liar, what nonsense! Unless youve re-written the meaning of words of course.

So if youve not seen it yourself how do you consider it to be fact for anyone else? No one else has seen it, the media have said nothing and the rumour has come from an unknown source. If you put things like this up youre going to have it shot at I'm afraid. There's nothing factual about it unless a well known source confirms it.

Gary Megson and Kevin McCabe may well be at Bramall Lane who knows! Considering the fact that the chairman spends most of his time abroad and that we've just appointed a new manager I highly doubt it though. You've posted a rumour, ive challenged it as fiction.....why does anyone have to take your word for it????

Until anything speculative is confirmed by the club, then its a rumour isn't it?

Lots of sources in the media have claimed that x player or x manager has had talks with x club over the years, only for nothing to come of these things.

Until the club confirms anything about this (vile) man being a part of our club then it remains nothing but a rumour or a chance sighting.

Others could back me up on this, but doesn't the lane host many corporate and football based events nowadays. I seem to remember we held one of the FA disciplinary hearings last season. So just because someones mate sees a bloke at the lane doesn't mean he's anything to do with us.

Spout as much crap as you want telling someone you don't believe something they say constitutes calling them a liar I could say more about where the info came from but it could compromise the lads job He saw what he saw and unlike yourself I am not arrogant enough to choose to disbelieve the word of someone I know and trust and certainly not so arrogant to choose to call a total stranger a liar as you have done Try that in some of the places I drink in and all you'll get is thick ear.it actually makes me wish the ginger tosser is offered some sort of position just so you can let me have give me your "intellectual" definition of humble pie .which supposedly involves humble berries

Oh and by the way the FACT was ,as far as I am concerned that they were seen by a trusted friend together,the FEAR was that they were about to offer him a job the RUMOUR word was used by others
 



It looks like other poster are accusing you of lying. Are you going to get shirty with them as well? At the end of the day I chose to disbelieve it because there were many reasons to doubt that either McCabe or Megson were there today. I have also ackowledged that they may well have been but again I didnt believe they would be. I dont know you or your friend, so why do I have any reason to take your word?

My first post featured the word "behave" which was reference to you dropping a naughty rumour that would get critical response (and it has). It was also intended as banter but you snapped at it instantly which made our exchange hostile straight away.

My first post did not feature the word "liar" but you're convinced it did.....please read it again. You never said you had seen them yourself which is why I couldnt (and didnt) accuse you of lying. You've been given information by a friend (factual or false for all I know) and have relayed what you have heard - THAT my friend is a rumour.....NOT a fact and NOT a lie.

I think its more a case that you didnt like someone challenging what you considered to be fact. You've referred to me as arrogant because ive chosen not to believe something. I have even made clear that I am not calling you a liar and also apologised if it offended you.....not the mark of an arrogant person IMO. Borderline aggressive comments about getting a thick ear are unnecessary as well so lets leave it out shall we?

Now that I have made clear that I didnt mean to offend, could we call it a day and agree to be amicable? There is nothing personal from my side.

He /she works in the business centre at the lane and he or she has no reason to lie about what they saw this morning ,people can say what they like on here and have differing opinions but to call someone a liar is wrong :thumbdown:
