Season ticket holder and I had to book seat on my phone whilst slightly worse for wear. I got on quite early but couldn't find my seat (it's hard on a phone) so just booked another one. Anyway got there today to find I'd booked myself a nice seat behind a pillar. Good atmosphere though today so that made up for it a bit.

If you look at the actual seats filled it was our best home crowd of the season .it's a full house as you will ever get
For all its inadequacies, The Lane is fairly unique in its possible to appear/officially sellout, but anyone that has any inckling to want to go, still ought to be able to get a ticket.

we'll never need more seats than we have.

We got in the ground about 2.10pm. One of the stewards on the Kop said that someone had already gone home because their ticket was behind a white pillar so they wouldn't be able to see anything.

I have used my burner accounts to buy tickets for friends and colleagues that couldn't get them over the last few years. There is zero doubt in my mind that the club is turning away new fans through deliberate policy. On one occasion a Chinese gent posted on here asking for help getting tickets for himself and a few friends when we were in the Championship under Wilder. He explained that the club wouldn't sell them the tickets. He'd been to the ground and asked. I met him at the ground early doors and sorted it for him. Over £120 worth of tickets. The club didn't want either his or his Chinese friends money. Ludicrous

Some things that the club should do from previous experience:

1)Make an account for all new purchasers. Sometimes people come to a game that is open to anyone, even without an account, and they don't get an account as a result - just the ticket for that game. Then they try to buy a ticket for a future game requiring x points or a pre existing purchase history and are refused - much to their bemusement. If you must have these restrictions, then please ensure that people that buy a ticket for any game leave the ticket office with an account.

3) Relax all buying restrictions for these groups: under 13s, local residents (except derbies), old age pensioners, women. These demographics are unlikely to cause trouble, so why have these restrictions in place for these people?

3)An idiots guide to buying tickets and all online problems. Make it extremely user friendly. Lot's of FAQs and guides to what error codes mean. Make it very prominent on the website with easy to follow videos. It has to be suitable for, say, a pensioner that barely knows how to switch a computer on. Offer to set them up for people if they need help.

“ There is zero doubt in my mind that the club is turning away new fans through deliberate policy”

What a load of bollocks. Our skint owner doesn’t want new fans and their money and instead pays for more shares or borrows monies therefore reducing the value of his investment.

Wendy levels of nonsense.

First hand experience tells me otherwise. Not that I think the owner is the driving force.

Deliberate policy. Based on what exactly?

Who is then? Which employee is overseeing this policy. And a) why b) how come only you are aware?

Rumours that it was Hecky who wanted home fans on the lower tier. If that’s true then that worked out well.

5 empty seats next to me on kop, dont know if words got out about my flatulance, but also against fulham 2 empty seats row jj ( ill not give seat number but high number) not any bad obstructions, the post stops you seeing the joint of 6 yd box and goalline

The restrictions are hardly a secret?

Your posts regularly suggest you’re itk. So you’re saying an employee is pushing a deliberate policy of undermining the club and therefore the owner. Doesn’t your first hand experience lead you to believe that you should be emailing Yusef informing him about the undermining of the club you support? I would if l had proof rather than made up shite. Is it the Wendy office manager? Is the paranoia/desire to be itk that strong?

These claims have a touch of Magic Mike about them

Inever suggested that. I stated that there are restrictions that are deliberately put in place. That is "deliberate policy".The net effect is to make it difficult for some people to get tickets. That's my experience. I have a few burner accounts to get around that myself. I don't know who Mike is and am surprised by your ad hominem. I don't care either.

You can tiptoe around the semantics but you said

“ There is zero doubt in my mind that the club is turning away new fans through deliberate policy“

Ergo there is a deliberate policy to turn away new fans. No mention of restrictions in that quote

You then suggested this wasn’t being done by the owner.

All you’ve done is used a cock up to amplify your repeat posts that there’s something desperately wrong at the club - we know the financial issues - dressing up negative opinions as “experience” and facts.

Again, if the owner isn’t the driving force behind it, does he know?

It’s all very vague and as ever is purported to be some big secret known only to an elite few.

The next thread about capacity increases should be an interesting one.

There was a block of seats that remained empty on the John St side of the BLUT, a third of the Westfield wasn't sold, and there were rows of empty seats on the BL Lower near the SS, and empty seats in the family corner.

Amazed to find out one of my niece's and her daughter attended their first ever game on Saturday, how the fuck? The grand daughter who goes to games couldn't get a ticket, her dad couldn't buy her a ticket due to her not having a purchasing history.

Well you don’t need to show id to get in the ground....

This match is over. Move on and the club has learned from this episode......

I can't be held responsible for your lack of reading comprehension skills. If you want to believe in grand conspiracies be my guest. If you think Sheffield United's ticket policy is accidental then knock yourself out.

Here's one lad I helped out in the not too distant past. Ask him about it: https://www.s24su.com/forum/threads/guys-your-urgent-help-needed.75504/#post-2256760

There you go again. The club have a deliberate policy to stop new fans attending. Please tell us why that is and who is driving it? Why keep income down as a result? If you can back your assertion up, do so. Just saying you are right means nothing.

Is it a bird, is it a plane? No it’s Superfan! How does you helping someone out with tickets prove a deliberate club policy.

However limited you believe my reading and comprehension skills are, l can spot made up bollocks when l see it, especially when it jumps out of the page.
