I'll take accusations of jinxing it by getting ahead of myself. But.... I am in the lucky position of being able to get to a number of non-SUFC "big games". Internationals, UEFA, FIFA, etc. It is becoming routine for ALL tickets sales to be handled ONLY online. And for those to be electronic tickets. All tickets in the EUROs last year were mobile tickets, purchased online.

And, I see Sunderland have made their arrangements for Wembley having beaten SWFC. Sunderland will sell ALL Wembley tickets online. Nothing on sale in person, or on the telephone. They'll be using Ticketmaster for their sales.

So, jinxing it, be prepared for "anything" if we get to the final.

It’s hardly just football. Pretty much every ticket for everything at professional level anywhere in the world is bought online. I don’t know why this confuses our fans so much.

But what was the other option for the club here? If they HAVE to offer Forest the upper tier and more importantly the upper corner where ST holders do sit, what can the club do? They cannot exactly say to the ST holders in upper corner "Well shit, sorry you can't sit in your seat but we have seats in lower if you want them", whilst saying to every other ST holder on South Stand, Kop, John street etc etc. "Here you go guys, we've held your ST seat for you if you want it. Fuck those ST holders on upper corner"

Should have given all season ticket holders in upper tier a 50% discount and give them a guaranteed window to get seats

I had this and just couldn’t Proceed to Payment without getting the message. Ended up getting someone else to buy a ticket for me. The only thing I can think of is that I have some credit on my account but not enough to cover the cost of the ticket.

It‘s probably a legacy issue caused by credit you have / had on your account, if you didn‘t claim a refund at the time for games cancelled because of Covid. We had similar problems at the start of this season.

I‘d recommend phoning or emailing the ticket office. They fixed it for us pretty pronto.

Is there something to close/block the concourse from home and away fans? I'd imagine HT would be lively if there was nothing but a line of stewards trying to separate Blades/Forest fans. Let's not even get started with pints of "beer" been slung back and forth..

It's bad enough when some stadiums has steel shutters to separate fans.

When the Westfield corner was built , the BLUT concourse was fitted with a series of security doors so that it could be segregated at various points depending on the size of the away following - the Westfield itself can't be given to away fans because it empties directly into the South Stand before disgorging into Bramall Lane.

When the Westfield Corner was built i remember seeing a big metal gate/door between the new corner and the old upper section,i thought at the time it was a good idea for being able to separate the concourses if the stand/s were ever shared.

Is it still there and has it ever been used ? probably not because we as a club dont like having a line of stewards between opposing fans..............unlike about 99% of other grounds.

The concourse might be a problem but other clubs manage to segregate fans with two lines of stewards and police in the concourse.

Even Celtic and Rangers where the potential for trouble is a 100x greater than what it is for a game between us and Forest

It's looking more and more like the club has done this because they didn't understand the ticketing rules, being as amateur as they always are.

And before a ball is kicked they've pissed our own fans off, and ensured that at least 3,000 of our regular EVERY WEEK fans won't be able to attend.

Getting to Wembley will be the usual joke with regards tickets. Our opponents will sell theirs and ask for more, sell them and ask for more

And we'll still be fucking about with those on 30,000 + loyalty points two days before the game leaving nobody any time to make plans.

And all this when almost double the amount of tickets than we've got loyalty points holders could be available.

It's about time those that made the rules for ticket distribution at the Lane were fired

no it doesn't, I sit on Westfield corner and there are 2 exits both directly onto Bramall LANE, well down from where exit from South enters onto Bramall LANE.
