WTF were those substitutions all about ?? Not a big fan of the 4 players Adkins has been playing of late but Saturday it was working yes we weren't looking like scoring a 2nd goal but we were very comfortable limiting Swindon to long range shots or hopefull balls over the top which were creating nothing , then bang bang bang 3 subs later and if you look around at the players faces they were as confused as us brayford even went over to the bench arms out wide asking what's going on ?? Woolford not knowing what position he was playing !!! It's not as tho he brought more attacking players on a really went for it , he brought more attacking players on and asked them to play the same defensive way ???? Adkins is in today's star backing the players after some of the crowd booed at the end of the game , no Nigel the crowd weren't booing the players they were booing your crazy substitutions that cost us a win

From the top of my head, you only have to remember back to Peterborough last year when Clough withdrew all players with any attacking intent including our only striker (Done) and ended up (deservedly) losing the game.

I could have understood if he had subbed Done who had done nothing all game but chase round like a demented Jack Russel Terrier and put a striker on. As poor as Basham, Hammond and Woolford were we at least looked fairly safe but to put three players on who are all lightweights was utter madness. What's that saying of Adkins' ? "it's a simple game keep it out at one end put it in at the other" so why over complicate things ?

I just think playing woolford,Basham , coutts, and Hammond we are basically. Playing 2 back fours , at the moment the only difference in cloughs side and Adkins side is billy sharp

I agree that our midfield is too defensive and that we need more creativity in there.

I disagree about Clough though, in general we are more positive and score more goals.

I saw him have a seemingly heated discussion but not when the substitution was being made. To me it looked like Adkins had shouted to Brayford about his positioning and he was making the point that he was being pulled all over the place because the midfield weren't tracking their men and there was a big gap in front of him.
