With all the talk about who Speed should bring in by Tuesday's deadline.Any thoughts of who might possibly leave?I know the squad is wafer thin, but does anyone see someone surplus to requirements?

Plenty of people that i wouldn't like in the squad, but at the moment i think we should keep hold of everybody. If we have injuries like last year then we'll need them. Come January then i think one of the strikers will be shipped out, probably along with one of Taylor or kozzy.

The only other moves i can think of will be a couple of the youngsters shipped out on loan.

How about a couple of non-footballing midfielders? One of them is long overdue his move to one of the Premiership elite.

I can see Yeates leaving to be honest, even though I think we need him. Speed doesn't seem to rate him as he didn't bring him on against Middlesborough even though we were losing. Now Speed is trying to bring in another two wingers ahead of him, I doubt he'll be happy to stay as 3rd choice right or left winger.

Speed is in absolutey no psoition to get rid of ANY of the current squad before Tuesday. I don't care how bad they are (and we have some shockers) we just don't have the numbers to ship people out. If we do we could end up with the same ridiculous emergency loan (and high wage bill) as last year. Speed would be a mad man to let any of his squad go (maybe with the exception of France!?).

No-one. I think we need to see how Speed set us up with a new system over the next ten games. Some of our 'no-hopers' might just blossom in a new system, some others will wither. I expect that the 'couple' he wants to bring in will end up just that...

Aint no way anyone will leave before Tuesday unless it's for a transfer fee or some sort of player swap.

Cant help thinking we are drifting towards obscurity at the moment. I am sure that Speedo wants to bring someone in so where are the quality players we hoped his reputation might attract. Whilst other clubs around us appear to be very active we talk about Ward's role or signing Calve (who has been coming for weeks). Some positive action now by the higher management to support Speedo but its gone very quiet!

With the contributions all of the squad have made I'd be quite happy to have Ryan France rendered down for glue.

if it were left to me and the squad wasnt has thin has it is id let bogdanovic, taylor and quinny go and has far has signing new players is concerned i had a feeling that birch and mcCabe were feeding us shit from the moment speed stept in. i seriously hope im wrong but somethings brewing behind the scenes and i dont think were getting the full story

Cheeky 800k bid for Wardy. What do people think we should do and does this differ from what people think we will do

800k

We'd say no sale and I'd want us to say no sale.

1.6 million

We'd say yes please and I'd want us to say no sale.

If we recieved an offer of 800,000k for Ward we'de take it,and Birch would drive him to said destination. After all we're a selling club are'nt we.

We should unplug the phone, stick fingers in our ears and sing the Marseillaise until September comes.

According to BBC sport Charlton are interested in Fortune. Thoughts?

I would have thought that the only players who are fit and saleable (i.e. we won't make a bad loss on) are Ward and Yeates. Offer comes in for either then they are probably on their way.

Come January if Evans has done OK and Henderson has got fit then they will be the ones out the door.

As for £800k for Ward. I'd say no, the club would say "his agent has been making ridiculous demands and our hands were tied". Those Pesky agents!

Absolutely Grecian. If a bid comes in for Ward then he is a goner. As one of of most dangerous players it makes absolutely no sense to hang on to him and to sell him for a fraction of his value as close to deadline as possible.

i wouldn't be surprised if 'one of the many clubs' that covet monty's services put a cheeky bid in..lol.. i wish.
