I appreciate we've some terrible players at the moment but it also seems clear to me that Adkins is not getting the best out of any of them. At all.

Why is this?

Seems that the fans are either blatently blamed or it's hinted at.

Yes we're running (or have run) out patience but I think when those at the club take a step back from the current issues and realise that we've been shite for what feels like forever they might appreciate that maybe we've just had enough of waiting for someone to get something right that puts on something like an upward spiral.

Don't know about the rest of us but I'm tired of being humiliated.

Humiliated? Never seen the performance of a football team I happen to support as personal humiliation myself.

Annoyed, indeed. Angry as fuck, you betcha. Humiliated or embarrassed, nah save that for real life.

To be honest I realised we were truly fucked when Silly Jim as his Twatterati cunts decided Clough had to go in the summer. First manager to stop our, seemingly, relentless march downward and the foreign fuckwits decide he has to go after a play-off defeat.
All to blame now, owners, lackies, management, players, impatient fans, Brian the Blade, Radio Sheffield, James Shields, Sir Keith, you name it there'll be a reason we can blame them.

So why did they take so long to get rid after the play off loss if Jim, McCabe and HRH were using Twitter to base their business decisions ?

I'd still say the large proportion of blame lies with the players (although after the last 4 days a slight doubt over Adkins has begun to creep in) with a whole host of factors playing a part too.

Contracts, many are possibly aware or have an inclination that they won't be here whether promoted or not so why bother.

Loanees, no real affiliation with the club, again where is the burning desire to drag us from the mire when next year they'll likely be elsewhere.

The Clough factor, looking more and more likely that the likes of Brayford, Coutts, Freeman etc preferred life under Nigel 1 than Nigel 2.

Bruised egos and unrest, if these subtle social media posts have any credence then our band of non achieving superstars seem to feel that they should either be more involved or that some of their best buddies sent elsewhere have been hard done to.

Add to all the above that at best the large majority of these players are bang average (how many would move up the football ladder not down?) I still think until the slate is wiped clean and Adkins gets the chance to really build a squad of players he can call his own he still needs more time.

Players or manager? Which option has the better past history of success?
