Seen quite a few names linked in last couple of days, mostly from twitter which we all know can be bull, but not always. Names i've seen:

Joe Riley (man u youngster)
Elliot Bennett (blackburn mid)
Rob Hall (oxford winger?)
Anthony Wordsworth (southend mid)

Then today the sun journo alan nixon who seems relatively reliable has said we asked Barnsley about loaning Moncur but that dont want to lose him incase they lose a couple of players in that area.
He also reckons we are close to signing Samir Carruthers (another mid from mk)

Don't know what anyone else has heard/seen, but there seems to be an interesting mix of names in there, certainly after a midfield player or 2 if it's anything to go by and some decent names linked. Certainly think we will do some good business to kick us on this window and being top should help attract players no end.

Finally, can't forget to mention today's result. Get in Blades! Another potential banana skin after a rough start but shows what Chrissy Wilder's men are made of!

WE ARE TOP OF THE LEAGUE! UTB

Only 13 points behind the total of Adkins' horror show already! Our year.

Yes I think we'll be making at least 12 signings:

Joe Riley
Jay O'Shea
Elliott Bennett
George Moncur
Jack Payne
Anthony Wordsworth
Stephen McLaughlin
Daniel Powell
George Williams
Samie Carruthers
Ben Reeves
Rob Hall

But apart from that...

Not BARRACK OBAMA then!!??

We are eyeing up a midfield general called "Dean Hammond" as well.

Doubt we could afford him, isn't he on £30K a week.
So even paying a small contribution would mean blowing almost all the budget on 1 player.

Just puked up my celebratory Pizza Hut thinking bout Hammond just typing the fraudulent wage thiefs name makes me grind my teeth.

Seems like a different age when we had to rely on rubbish like Hammond, doesn't it ? Praise be !
