So we know our record is crap but so are the other 3 teams records.

Of 21 play off appearances only 2 have got promoted, that's a 9% success ratio across the board.

It's our time, 3rd time lucky for Wilder and a 100 year anniversary of our last Wembley win

I don't know why but I felt the need to watch back the "highlights" from 97 v Palace. Arguably still my worst memory of following United; relegation 94 still just pips it I think.

I still think Trace maybe could have done better on their goal or am I being harsh? I loved Trace but he didn't move for their goal as good a strike as it was, it was like he just didn't pick the flight of the ball at all?

I know I should move on after 28 years!

I was behind the direction of the shot, it was going high and wide but then it swerved into the top corner of the goal. Carl Tiler should have headed the ball to the wings rather than towards the centre

On the 94 relegation, who was the defender who lost the header to the geriatric Glenn Hoddle as he nodded it on to Mark Stein?

Really previous results over shouldn’t make a difference if we’re honest ..different players & different era .
On paper we’ve got a stronger & more experienced squad with a lot of options to change things if we need to .. I just hope we go out & go for it as I couldn’t stand another Burnley , Hudders , Wolves or Palace when we hardly had a shot on target over the 4 games ⚔️

First time I can remember feeling confident because we have players available not injured or sent off. That said I might have all the ingredients to make a cake, question is can I bake a cake using them?
Mr Wilder this is your redemption moment

My only worry is underestimating Sunderland. In that play off we had run Palace ragged at ours a few weeks before and think we beat them at theirs. Was it the season Bassett said you rarely beat the same team 3 times on the trot in a season?

On paper I see this as a walk in the park, Sunderland looked well second best against Coventry in both legs but won, the late goals in both from Mayenda and Ballard will have my sphincter twitching if is close at the end.

Football, funny old game.

Up early this morning, big breakfast downed, ticket printed ( thank God I remembered that bit ) feeling positive.

Think this is our year.

Come on Blades ! ❤️
