I find it hard to believe that The Met aren’t in the loop and will demand as much time as possible in planning shifts to police a big operation like this. Its a disgrace no matter how you look at it.Fans treated with utter contempt by the EFL…fuckin ELO would do a better job!!
Jeez - Don't bring me down...

That's most likely what any delay is. It's not as easy as sky saying when

On the side of 3pm: SUFC, SAFC, 70,000 travelling fans, train companies, probably the Met Police

On the side of 5.30pm: Sky TV.
If it ends up being a 5.30 KO, and it's all down to Sky TV, I would like to think all fans who could, would cancel their Sky/Now tv subs - even if it's only for a month. They'd lose a bit of dosh and the saved monthly sub would go towards the ticket price.

At the East end, we’ll be sweating under Mr Blue Sky! I’m here all week….
Indeed, just watch yourself that a Livin Thing, perhaps a Sweet Talkin' Woman doesn`t generate Confusion via Strange Magic resulting in a Showdown with an Evil Woman over a Telephone Line meaning you need a Wild West Hero to ensure you don`t Turn to Stone.

Hold on Tight Blades fans All over the World - it will be Alright

Once you buy the tickets online the calendar event they let you add to your phone is for 3pm.

Though eveything else suggests 5:30 with sky coverage starting at 4:30 and the club Wembley boxes saying 5:30.

Joke for 70+k people making travel arrangements from the north at short notice expected to shell out for tickets before they even know the time.

Parking up at Stanmore and going from there. Travelling down and back on the Saturday.

Can anyone confirm if the London ULEZ scheme will or will not apply to me ?

How I read it was it’s only Mon-Fri early Morning and late afternoon.

Any clarification appreciated.

Exactly this.

Let's not have the wool pulled over our eyes by anyone saying different.

The EFL will obviously protect Sky / their own interests and they know which side of the bread is buttered - but this would be moot if Sky hadn't been allowed to accumulate so much power over our sport.

Key point - Sky keep getting away with it because they're allowed to get away with it. They're not bothered whether their customers are happy or not. I'd urge everyone to remind themselves of this next time their renewal comes round.

Absolutely ridiculous and wrong expecting people to buy tickets before KO time is known.
Time should have been decided months ago, EFL need to grow a pair and stop Sky dictating everything.

It's an easy check (Foxy has posted the link) but essentially if your car was registered on or after 1st September 2015 you should be fine. All cars from that point had to be Euro 6 compliant and that's the required diesel standard. Older petrol cars are OK (Euro 4 standard; from 2006) but diesels only conforming to Euro 5 and before are liable to pay the charge which is £12.50 per day.

Note that low co2 emissions ≠ ULEZ compliance: my old 64-plate Golf Bluemotion 1.6tdi (87g/km) and my dad's old 15-plate, July 2015 registed Skoda Octavia 1.6tdi (99g/km) were both liable for the ULEZ charge

Reason for being the biggest game of the EFL season: Sky TV

Reason we manage to keep hold of Hamer, Cooper etc if we win: Also Sky TV

Do not bite the hand that feeds you.

But 3pm would be better I agree.

Reason the English football pyramid is fundamentally fucked: Sky TV.

I agree that it's better to be at the table than locked outside the door but let's not pretend that the Sky money is good for the game.

Just got my ticket and bit the bullet of a Croydon Premier inn (15mins from Victoria).
I'm going by train but if anyone is planning on driving from swallownest, my nephew is looking for a lift.
PM me for details.
Cheers

Ta.

In a sensible world. Some bright spark will say.. Can’t we just play the fucking thing at Old Trafford? 32k tickets each. I know logistically it will never happen. Just hate that the FA haemorrhaged themselves with a fucking 6/10 stadium, that we are now bound to play their for all eternity. The mystique of walking down wembley way and the twin towers is no more.
Yeah, the play-offs at Wembley are a stressful experience whether you win or lose. As much as I hate Man Utd, I really hope they get their finger out and build the proposed “Wembley of the North”…But obviously much better.

Just printed out my Play Off Final confirmation but it's ridiculous that I still don't know whether the rail ticket I bought is a waste of money ( I know it was gamble) and don't know for certain how I'm going to get there - I have to be home on Saturday evening or early hours Sunday.

What other form of expensive entertainment would sell tickets with no indication of the performance time? The EFL should be ashamed of themselves

Having recently watched the Bradford fire documentary on BBC 2 it's quite clear the money has done more than just go into posters pockets thankfully.

Another £12.50 on top of the £40 to park, then. No wonder southerners think you need a 6 figure salary to get by
Vast majority of cars won't need to pay it. I'm thinking on going in via Uxbridge ( not parking) think it's a fiver return.

From Sunderland forum:

"Just rang the EFL - discussions are ongoing, they don't know when it will be confirmed. Travel logistics and train times for fans travelling from the North are part of the conversation and are being looked at, apparently."

They know which clubs are playing. They know the train times. Surely they have enough info to make a decision now.
It's ridiculous isn't it.

They should have sorted this out the day after the final day of the season. Just make it 3pm across the board.

Why would it have to be any other time? Are there other large scale events going off in London that would clash with the play off final?
