In short we haven't got one. We should be going out to sign a championship James Hanson in January (Smith at Rotherham?) It was obvious we weren't going to out "football" west brom in the second half so needed to try something different. We just don't have the players to go direct and nick points here and there. When we win it's because we've been better than the opposition not because we've got the ball in dangerous positions late on and applied a bit of pressure.

Yes West Brom are a good side but too many times this season we have a great first half the opposition then change things at half time and we don't know what to do. Coutts is still way off the pace and looked lost again (and to think some bemoan Lundstram for being negative and always passing backwards). Washington was coming on already when they nicked the winner but the Johnson sub was bizarre. Whatever happens we need another creative midfielder and a target man in January.

We we were out of ideas in the second half and it looked like we didn't know what fucking formation we were meant to be playing.

What puzzled me is that we brought on Washington and eventually Johnson to inject some much needed pace, and where did they play ??
.....way too friggin deep ! Billy is on his own on the half way line with 2 defenders on him, and our pace are fannying around at the back. We were losing the game, why not put Washington on the half way line and give 'em something to think about ? WBA proved 1st half that they didn't have world-class defenders !

We only have two strikers that are half decent so maybe it is time for a change of tactics. We are playing with two full backs in the wing back positions, neither of them have a clue, can't take their man on or put a decent cross into the box so what is the point ?

That game was crying out for Washington and Duffy on at the same time about 10 minutes before they went in front. A few times when we were pushed back, Duffy did actually get some space on halfway, but there was no pass on. Sharp tried his hardest dropping deep, but is never going to beat anyone in a straight race. Give them a pacey outlet up there and we might have been able to stretch them a bit.

McGoldrick did absolutley nothing in the second half, and when Washington did come on, there was nobody to get the ball for him, just Coutts and Norwood lumping if from the edge of our own box for Barry to easily clear up. The timing of the Johnson substitution was bizarre, most people had already gone home, why not give Smith a go five minutes earlier or something for the fans to get behind.

Be careful. When I said Wilder had no plan B last season I got tore to shreads on here. Oh hang on........12 months on & it looks like i’m right!!

I sometimes wonder if by overloading the wings, with maybe four players, in order to outnumber the defence and create room for the cross, we also put ourselves at a numerical disadvantage in the box itself?

Another issue is, although its great to watch the first time passing and movement, because we possibly overdo the possession bit, it means it isn’t really dynamic tactic, which consequently allows the defence to get back in good positions to defend?

Hopefully, should anyone actually ever manage to place an accurate cross into the heart of the danger area at anytime, we will be able to more practically assess this theory, until then I accept, its pure speculation? :(

Last week we proved that we do have a plan B.
Last night we didn't execute Plan A in that second half

I read the title and assumed it was about when Chris Wilder walks into a new job what is our plan B?

To borrow a phrase from our porcine friends..............”We’ve been found out.” Now that we’re on telly more that Ant n Dec (definitely Ant) our failings are there to for all to see.
Watching United is like watching the old 3rd round FA cup ties, where the plucky underdog give the superstar team the runaround for half an hour. But ultimately capitulates to superior class, craft and quality of the big boys
