A summary of the main points, heavily paraphrased. Some of the questions were a bit repetitive, sounded like some rookie reporters were being given a go at the end so fair play to them.

Discussed Weston Park charity - on the way to £1.4m target - bring a pound on Sunday!

Following Fans Forum last night how challenging will this summer be without parachute payments?

-it's always challenging - was in 2016 when we had to get rid of players
-make our money on the pitch as well as backing from owners
-put a team together last season on free transfers, small fees and loans and got 92 points
-we're not a man city/wrexham where people have come in and changed the landsacape but with all pulling together - owners/steve bettis/academy we're not frightened of that challenge. If we have to build again next year then we will.

Anybody back who was out v Pompey?

-Jairo's back, only ones unavailable are Shackleton, Tom Davies, Sam McCallum and Rothwell

How much is prospect of confirming Pigs relegation a factor?

-not in my thought processes at all more bothered about preparing for the game, will they come at us or sit back
-but derby is never "just another game"

Prospect of a resounding win?

-doesn't work like that, look at Macclesfield vs Palace (we put a slide up about that in pre match presentation)
-it's not decided on team sheets, but obv. rather be in our dressing room than theirs
-everything has to be earned

Sympathy for them?

- no one's had sympathy for me, all have to look after our own clubs

A win on sunday will be a "double double" not been done since 1953 is that a bit of legacy you're looking at?

-Not really just want to win games of football

How big will a goal for Tyrese be?

-Worked hard with him last 6-8 weeks and he's ready, he's got a part to play along with others, at full tilt he's a handful

How crucial is it that he buys into that?

-He has to, you sometimes get these periods that don't go for you, need to get belief back, popular lad, I like him, trained well and pushing for a start

Dore - how involved are you in that?

-I am and hope to be for a lot longer, and be part of the future, no desire to work anywhere else, got a job to do.
-There's a lot of good people involved on it.

Does training ground affect it getting top players in?

-we used to like to get players to sign first before showing them the training ground (laughs).
-it is more and more important these days, top 25 club so need facilities to match that.
-Sander Berge's face when we dragged him up Rutland Road was quite a sight.
-But they get on with it.

Rosenior said about modern players more concerned about going to clubs that will improve them (not just facilities, but things like coaching staff) would you agree?

- I would. Players more tuned in now about their development - sport, medical, diet, psychology

What do you think about the job Pedersen has done?

- it can't be easy doing interviews etc after the games, have to be an actor sometimes. Full respect to him, will say his team gives everything, but as said before there's no sympathy in this game.

Sunday massive for them are you expecting the best performance from them?

- Yes - will prepare for their A game (and for our A game)

When you have player with a good record against particular club does that come into your thinking?

- yes it does, there's gut feelings you get

Is a derby game a normal 3 points?

-no it's never just another game for us, it can't be (somebody took that approach a few years ago and got hurt!)

You talked about pace and intensity of the last match how will United play?

-need a big start, put them on back foot, been pretty good at home, first goal will be big

What does this derby mean to you personally?

-it's meant so much from an early age, understand the history, boxing day is still there with us all
-have to stay calm though

How do you prepare them for this derby? More focus mentally or on tactics?

-all the usual preparation - out of and in possession
-had a free week so had enough time to prepare

Excellent summary, thanks! At moments like this it's very reassuring to have Wilder at the helm.

Really Chris? Our scales must be broken. Boots at Meadowhead probably stock them. Or we might just not chuck millions at players with a tricky injury record before we sign them?

Sounds good though.

Good work. Thank you!
Pleased to hear that Jairo is available. I guess he might replace Phillips in the second half rather than be a starter.

Boots is on Heeley retail park, not Meadowhead.
If you want to be the big (boring) critic, try to be accurate 😉

Note to self: Do not sit next to 54yrblade at the lane 😬
