Pigs game on TV? Where/how are you watching it?

I hate these games. Completely detest every second of them, unless we're winning comfortably with a minute of injury time left. I've decided to be a complete wet fanny this time and go to Clumber or Sherwood and walk the dog. The last 15 minutes of hanging on to a slender lead against ordinary opposition is bad enough. Yes, I'm a big puff and I won't be watching it live.

I am playing Golf. Teeing off at 12.30 in a competition, ignoring football until I finish. If we win I will go home put my feet up and watch it. Draw, maybe watch it, lose ands deleted and forgotten about. 😄

I was supremely confident going into both derbies last season. We were absolutely streets ahead of them and it showed on the pitch.

This time however, I'm very worried. They have absolutely nothing to lose - even less to lose than last season, if that were possible. They're already down but seem to be playing fairly well all things considered. And they're on a bit of a wave having gotten rid of Chansiri.

We're still better than them and have won more points than them, which is pretty amazing considering how shite we've been. But still. I think they might even have a shot on target this time.

I'll likely not watch it this season. Cowardly and denying myself of what may turn out to be the best moment of this season but I just hate the idea of this team representing us in a derby. They're due a win, they're on a high as a fanbase and whilst they're absolutely shit, they're battling. Can't see this side not folding in the atmosphere and cant face them celebrating so as it stands I'm going to watch some porn or something.

I'm praying that Blaster, Tom Davies and Gus are back fit and firing for this one.

They are our big game players and will be the difference if we're in a battle and their undoubted quality will see us stuff the oinkers.

I feel the same way Roy although I'm recovering from a hernia op at the moment so can't get out to the game anyway. My biggest fear is Davies in the net. I was there in 1979 when Richardson was in goal. His legs were shaking like a jelly. Completely out of his depth. Thats the reason why they scored four. I'm afraid the same result will happen if we don't have someone else as goalkeeper.

The difference is they look fitter than us despite their squad limitations. Which is a testament to their Head of Sports Science Rob Lee. If only we had the same level of conditioning. Having said that form goes out of the window in a Derby but both are struggling at the moment which leans towards another 0-0 bore draw.

Did it though? We won both games 1-0. The gap in the teams should have made both games a lot more comfortable than both were.

Only a complete idiot would put Arblaster back in if he's fit. Why would you chuck a player that's been out for over 1 year straight back into a Sheffield derby.

I'd put him back in.

Never felt a drop of nerves during those two games other than thinking that gasama had a bit about him. It was comfortable imo.

Arblaster would need to do 45 minutes minimum tomorrow for the u21s to even be considered for the bench imo

I'll be watching the game at 7.30am on either SUTV or Paramount+ here in Beavercreek Ohio.

This early a game will have one of two emotional dynamics for me.

Win, and I'll be happy for the rest of the day as I have an early Thanksgiving dinner with family members coming in from Toledo and New York State. I also have a midday coaching stint to do.

Lose, and I think I will cancel both events that day and go back to the bedroom and hide for a week.

Especially when him coming off and us bringing Peck on was a massive factor in us beating them at the Lane last year.

I'll be tuning in to watch the match on Viaplay here in Funland.

First half at home and unfortunately it looks like the second half stood on a freezing touchline somewhere as my son has a match on Sunday afternoon 🥶

You could say Arblaster was trying "too hard" against them. Emotions were clearly very high for him being a blade.
Chucking him back in with the emotions, his youthfulness and next to no gametime would be a ridiculous thing to do.

Arblaster will be no where near the team, he’s been out for a year!
I can’t see him getting a first team game this side of Christmas. Far too much to do to get back to fitness, match speed and physical confidence. He needs a run of games in the U21 to get anywhere near.

You have written what I was gonna write Roy, so i've no need to now. Minus the porn.

Yeah, can’t think of two more comfortable derby wins in terms of controlling the game and not being threatened. The score lines were close but the 3 points were all that mattered.

This time, despite having written the season off I’m worried about this one. They’ve gone from being all chirpy when they were above us, to they’re doomed and the season doesn’t count saying we’re expected to win it. But reality is that we’ve probably taken ourselves down to their level and to be honest it probably means more for both clubs now. They’ll see a win as a phoenix from the flames moment, an against all odds win. I’ll take anything but a defeat.

I can’t see Blaster getting on even if he does 45 mins for the development squad. Wouldn’t be surprised to see him named on the bench though to give everyone a boost.

Cyprus for me though, thankfully definitely prefer to be away for these games

You can watch it with YorkBlade :)

I'll be in the pub watching it. Love the blood and thunder that these matches bring, and if by chance we lose, I'll not listen to or read about it ever again. It's worked for every playoff defeat ... probably helps that I'm 100 miles away and won't bump into any piggies.
