This arguing over the concept of 'bigness' is tedious in the extreme. What does it even mean and what is the obsession with it.

In all honesty both teams have underachieved for most of their histories, the bigness argument is like two homeless spice heads arguing who has got the most bin chips.

I just refuse to engage them on the subject, who cares what they think/say, they are deluded. Just humour them like you would any other unfortunate
This is very accurate. If they were like us, nobody would give a fuck about such a tedious, pointless argument.

Sadly, they are not. They are utterly, completely obsessed with being seen as a "bigger" (whatever that means) club than we are.

Their metrics for "bigness" seem to mostly be crowd-based, which is funny, as we have got bigger crowds than them for most of the last 20 years. They still seem to cling to the myth of the "30,000+ average at the old lady" which they have not achieved since I don't know when, whereas we've done it fairly recently.

Just had a quick scan through that bigger ground needed thread...... Saw the post from one of them saying they ought to just convert Don Valley into their new super stadium....... I wonder if someone will have the heart to tell him we're already building our women's ground there. 😁😁😁😁

Some things are worth repeating - they've lost £25million, and yet they still act as if their sense of entitlement means that they're excluded from the financial realities that affect the rest of the world. A haircut's in order, but given it's the pigs we're talking about it'll be the 'little' people, the cleaners, backroom staff etc who'll be sacrificed due to their incompetence, there will of course be additional cuts to be announced when Chansiri has stopped shaving his bollocks.

Radio Sheffield joining the massive love in 7am news.
Sheffield Wednesday take on Sunderland in a expected 70,000 plus league 1 play off 2 leg match.

They’re actually insane. Get it over 30k once a season and need a 50k new stadium now.

It happens every couple of seasons, they get a 30k attendance for a match and pigs start strutting around like peacocks saying how massive they are.

Meanwhile, little old Sheffield United average over 27k for the entire season and over 30k in the last season fans were allowed in grounds and no one bats an eye lid.

It's almost like it's insignificant and no one gives a fuck. Except them.
